He's gay, so why wouldn't he be upset that they were trying to force him to have sex with girls? He grew up around the sea so he went to a place where he felt most comfortable after being made to feel very UNcomfortable? What's so surprising about that? Further to that, he's ALSO said many times before that he felt uncomfortable with his sexuality and wanted to try it just once before giving up, so why is it surprising that he would fantasize about having sex with someone of the same sex after witnessing an orgy? And, didn't you see the part in the story about his father? After all, if you did, why would you be so surprised that he would try to find some secluded, private spot, in the first place (as he's ALSO mentioned at least once in the story), to enjoy his fantasies? yes, true to all that when you put it that way, but when you first read it, you can't deny it was a quick paced, out of the blue kind of thing.

Relax. The mangaka simply just made a lot of stylistic choices that did not work for me.

i doubt it.. I heard that even up to chapter 35 there wasnt much happening between them... I think there will probably only be bl moments without them getting together..

That's really unfortunate :/ I mean it's still a good story, but stories with only queer bait shouldn't belong in the bl genre..

Shounen-ai indicates there is a strong relationship between two men. It doesn't have to be romantic in nature. It could be best friends or brothers.

Shounen-ai literally translates into boy-love so that usually does mean there's going to be some kind of romantic feelings involved but yeah not necessarily anything hands on so to speak. Unfortunately.

well the mangaka has written a yaoi oneshot before that contained lots of smut- so I'm hoping that at the very least, there will be a confession of feelings and a kiss in this;;

There are many types of love. Bromances are platonic and there are ones between brothers that are just familial. Silver diamond is a great manga but there is no romantic feelings there at all despite the numerous characters.

Maybe they should just make a genre called 'friendship' then.
The literal translation of Shounen ai is Boys love, but then a lot of manga get defined as BL just because it depicts some sort of relationship between two males, cus of course if they show any emotions they must be gay. #－.－)
I get that a lot of manga labeled BL are not gay, but what Im saying is that its wrong that bromance and romance get mixed together, cus they're not the same.

Yeah, lgbt publication issues still needs to make some changes there, outdated definitions based on ideas that two guys that are close aren't natural unless it's romantic. I read that a lot with historical figures using "modern" interpretations.

I completely agree. Under those kinds of definitions you could label something as platonic as Captain America's relationship with Bucky aka Winter Soldier as shounen-ai. Something should only be labeled shounen-ai if it depicts romantic love.
