Jessy, you are the best, thank you!

Well, this fake green flag story is over. It's diabolical the way webtoon creators can write textbook abuser ML characters but get everything about how that behaviour would affect the MC wildly wrong: all hearts and flowers and "He just loves me that much".

Like this last chapter ends with EVERYONE still lying to Jeongyun about his family knowing about his sexual orientation and relationship and it is presented as something sweet and blissful. Family acceptance is something on his mind and he gets no reassurance about it. Instead, what we get is a scene in which Jeongyun's misunderstanding is linked to him not comprehending the depths of Chaehon's love and he thinks it is something to apologise for. What could be wrong about this?

We just came out of a storyline in which Chaehon intentionally hid major information about who he was from Jeongyun. Because he didn't have that knowledge Jeongyun reasonably became anxious about his boyfriend's behaviour with someone else. He admitted to himself that his anxiety was blowing things up in his mind but he had observed enough to ask for an explanation. He is genuinely distressed and hurt, his feelings are valid, and what does Chaehon do when Jeongyun builds up the courage to ask what's going on in the privacy of their home? Laugh in his face then fuck him. And, AS USUAL, Jeongyun is written to like it so readers can go, "Aww they just match each others' freak."

BUT when Jeongyun sent a light hearted text about a possible life without him Chaehon loses it. He: 1) demands Jeongyun leave his work to address it. Violation of work/personal life boundaries. If Jeongyun's boss wasn't cool she could have made it a problem for him. 2) angrily confronts Jeongyun in a semi-public venue to heighten his anxiety and potential embarrassment. 3) threatens physical violence over the idea that Jeongyun could leave him. It ends with Jeongyun laughing in his face—no it ends with him feeling responsible for Chaehon's response, apologising and promising himself to be a better boyfriend to protect Chaehon's peace of mind.

THIS IS A TEXTBOOK TOXIC, ABUSIVE SITUATION. Humans are weird we enjoy a lot of weird shit, I read this story to the end right along with you (although I enjoyed this one less and less and only stuck around for our sweet redhead.) I need us to be able to recognise what we are reading. Chaehon's explosive temper, unpredictable moods, controlling behaviour, the management of his life "for his own good" as "love" in contrast to Jeongyun positioned as being stupid/oblivious for not seeing the truth around him, ready to take on anything as his fault is classic abuser validating rhetoric.

These comments are cracking me up. I don't know if I should start to read this one or not.

Too many are focused on Jiwon's anxiety and not enough on Jungwoo's controlling, questioning behaviour that exacerbates it. Any partner who tried to get me to report my every move to them would get a quick laugh and a FU. I know Jiwon told him it was fine but that's just a co-dependency inclination emerging. Jiwon broadening his social circle is exactly what he needs to better develop his sense of self and confidence.

I am very intrigued by these comments, mostly the ones putting themselves into pretzels to give Guwon the benefit of the doubt. Is all violence acceptable or forgivable as long as we can be sure the person isn't "evil" (whatever that means)? Would we be so invested if he wasn't drawn handsome?

Anyway, I'm intrigued by the way author-nim has made him so enigmatic. And I really don't want Teach to end up with him but what are the odds...

I prefer translated sfx but ultimately it's what you prefer of course. I think your release pace with them done has been amazing. This is by far the most updated title I follow here. No complaints.

The padlock....I don't want anyone to hold Hyoseo captive, he's been through too much. Just hurry up and wash off the blood and act clueless about that scumbag.

Translator, I appreciate the speedy updates, thank you

Was always surprised by folx who thought Guwon had green flag potential. From the very start of the story when he clearly intended to let our guy die *until* he learned he was a teacher, it was clear something was off. The best one could hope for was that he'd be the type to burn the world down except for his love interest.

That being said, I did not expect to read him beat a person to death with a baseball bat while smiling. For trying to save his son's life. I don't know that any Frankenstein story line will work to rescue him from this sink, for me. The community's moral quandary is quite interesting, a great story set up, but the romance of it all...makes me queasy. #-.-) Certainly, for complexity and intrigue this is leagues above Dangerous Convenience Store, which I found to be quite typical and boring. Never understood its popularity.

He just happens to have lube handy but has no idea what it's for?!?!? Babes, wake up.

This was such a solidly GOOD extra/side story. So many others read as pointless exercises of tired tropes or yet another copy paste repeat of a conflict already exhausted in the main story. This one plausibly pulled from the established personalities of both and their relationship dynamic while offering something new enough to make it genuinely interesting. Translator, you did such a great job too!

No no no why did we leave Guwon's PoV so quick go back ヽ(`Д´)ノ (But like also wth is going on in this village lol.)

This comment section always entertains me. I remember when so many were convinced that Yeonjo had become so besotted he would never actually make a real move to enact his revenge. And now that he did everyone is now predicting they're doomed. I am only sure that Snob will give me a good story that only they know the ending of.

After the handkerchief episode I was momentarily terrified of what he would do with the juice.

Pleased to get an update on these idiots. Feel better soon, Ninachan, I'm sorry you were so sick. Take your time!

Happy to finally have a more concrete clue that Guwon has been putting on an act, at least to a certain degree, thus far. I never forgot the cold pragmatism that ruled his decision to rescue Jinwoo in the first place. Plus the other towns people are desperately afraid of him. (Although that may spring from how they feel about what he is rather than how he treats them? Fingers crossed.) I sorta hope his reasons for manipulating Jinwoo like this aren't too too bad? I think it must all be to some deeper purpose although I can't imagine what. Too much is still hidden.

I'm happy I almost always willing to take adaptations on their own merits. The most annoying and useless critiques are "this is not like the novel" :( like eureka you figured it out, congratulations.
