It has been a long time since I read this manga... I don´t even remember if it was on this site... but I would appreciate if anyone could help me, since I forgot it´s name.
There is a boy that lives with his uncle (if I remember correctly) and has a really fragile health, so he is usually in bed and with a fever. Close to their residence there is a passage through the forest, that leads to a beautiful and peaceful place, where the boy meets a man that turns out his friend and, eventually, lover. In that forest, the boys health is improved and he finds out that the mysteries surrounding his parents deaths are connected to that (if I'm not mistaken, his father came from that side of the forest, stayed in their place with his mom, and his health didn't hold enough, so he ended up dying).

The story goes in a country with different kingdoms, that maintain their political ties through marriage. When the familys can not provide a male×female couple, for example, there are two males, one will be chosen to be the 'woman' and another the 'man', of the relationship. The story goes about a couple of two males, has a lot of beautiful scenarios and I remember that one of than (the one that would be the woman) received a bird as a gift from the other, when their were still to meet and the one who would be the man got a portrait of his future 'wife'.
