So I read up to chapter 10 of the spanish translation and this stuff gets kind of messed up real fast but honestly I should have expected no less from the seme given his attitude in the first 3 chapters. The seme had been drugging the uke and raping him while he was unconscious since they were 13 years old. He also knew the whole time that the uke had been going out and sleeping with a bunch of alphas that looked like him while acting like an omega. Then after revealing this info he proceeded to imprison and rape the uke a whole bunch of times, then after the uke kept begging him to let him go he came up with this weird "act like my lover for a week and if I lose you can return to being my butler" bet, was shocked when he lost, then after everything returned back to normal, he threw a hissy fit about the uke winning and left the mansion for a long period of time. Even the special episodes which were supposed to be some sort of redemption/character developement for keith is 100% trash. Also the way he treats literally everyone else besides yeonwoo is terrible, and such a terrible example for his child. And not to mention him admitting to doing terrible things to yeonwoo but understating the gravity of his actions in ch 18 of the special episodes: "I forced you to sleep with me against your will" you mean you RAPED him Keith, use the word rape, because that is what you did. Hmm, you might be getting something wrong here. The fact that people enjoy reading stories like this doesn't mean they romanticize abusers and rapists. I'm confident that each person who gave this story five stars is fully aware that the relationship is toxic and that nothing like this should even remotely happen to anyone. I'm not a fan of stories like this myself, but I love watching gory-bloody-trashy horror movies. Does that mean I accept & normalize chopping other people into pieces? No, I just like that stories like that allow my brain to disconnect and get some rest from all the thinking & processing. It might be that this story is a sort of "power-off" tool for someone, and I don't think they need to go and look in a mirror for any other reason than to see how beautiful they are.

As a psych major, it's quite common for r*pe to be within peoples' fantasies, especially in the receiving end. Of course, none of us would want to actually experience that (hence why they are fantasies rather than actual calculated reality-based desires); however, because manhwas are a disconnect from reality (especially BL, if they're not representative of our actual genders and/or biological sex, which I'm saying since the vast *majority* of ppl who read BL are female and fem-presenting), it becomes easy for most to dissociate from the emotions that they'd otherwise feel in real scenarios, ESPECIALLY since the authors usually make them out to feel as even more of a fantasy by adding thrill to the moment, even when they show how the victim suffers to an extent. Anybody who has experienced it would know it's... a lot worse than what was presented, and therefore this is a romanticized version, meaning that it's a fantasy.
Why would people crave this fantasy? Quite simple. Power control dynamics (hence why CNC is so popular), Taboo and Transgression (the thrill of experiencing socially forbidden scenarios, since fear and excitement are in similar areas of the brain), Coping Mechanism (allows them to process their own agony if they've been in similar situations), the fluidity of the brain's Arousal Template (which tends to go against one's actual behaviour) -- albeit these are all merely common examples of why, and it varies from person to person. However, do allow me to re-emphasize: fantasies are NOT definitive of their behaviour nor moral standpoints. For example: I enjoy the thrill of these fantasies to an extent myself, but as a victim of these situations, actual real-life perpetrators make me feel nauseated and I fully acknowledge how they require severe psychotherapy treatment.

Again, I've been a victim of rape, and it did not feel like this one bit, it felt much more horrid and gruesome; and this Manhwa purposefully left those details aside when Keith raped him (what victim would hold tightly onto their r*pist and call them "My Alpha" during the act?), to further indicate that it is a fantasy, NOT a thought that is desired to be implemented directly onto reality.
