Someone tried to say “don’t be mad at Ahyoung, yeah she’s being petty, and childish. Look at it from her point of view” BLAH BLAH BLAH okay. First lets get the fact that what she’s doing is incredibly childish and just plain out bitchy. Just because the fl (I forgot her name I’m bad with names) lied about things to be your friend and now you’re mad that you were in the dark, so you’re going to ruin her chances of making new friends?
What the person who said “look at it her from her side” made no sense. Even if we look at it from her (Ahyoung) side she is still being a complete asshole. Did you even see the panel where she fucking side eyes her (the fl) and KNOWS she taking away the opportunity for the fl to make new friends. If you ask me IT IS TOTALLY OKAY to be mad at Ahyoung.
Don’t associate yourself with people who are doing things like that AND FOR YOU to be justifying it as “being childish and petty” this can be seen as a form of bullying. Outcasting. Slowly pushing her away from anyone. DO NOT try to justify her actions. Just an asshole. Hey, I'm that person.
From Ahyoung's perspective I see this: she finds her first real friend and tries her best to help and support her. But Sora sometimes acts weirdly and she feels insecure bc Sora is distancing from herself. She finds herself practically running after Sora. Then she suddenly overhears that Sora lied to her for months about having a bf.
I'm pretty sure that Ahyoung doesn't care about Sora having a bf or not but y'all are jumping her based on ONE panel.
I bet she feels fooled by Sora. Thinks that Sora was never her real friend and was just toying with her. If Sora lied to her for six fucking months then what else is she lying about? Was anything real?
Was Ahyoung really being petty when she led that girl away or did she think that Sora would fool that girl as well? Bc I strongly believe it's the ladder.
WE do know what's actually going on with Sora. We know why she lied to her and know how she struggled with it so we sympathize with her. We know that she truly likes Ahyoung and was a sincere friend. Ahyoung doesn't. That's why she's behaving that way. And y'all are doing the same thing. Y'all don't know what Ahyoung is thinking and feeling and get mad at her just like she's doing with Sora.
You know all she could do was just ask why lmaoooo, yall acting it like she just committed a crime. And it’s only been 6 months, not years. Besides ahyoung or wtv was the first to befriend her sorely for the reason that she had a boyfriend that’s why sora kept the lie cuz she thought of she told the truth, ahyoung would get bored and leave her side. Wdym? Sora is very much capable of explaining why she faked having a boyfriend, cuz she knows why she did it. To stay friends with ahyoung. Ahyoung is the one refusing to listen. If she truly loves Sora, she’ll listen to her. And I hop she does that in the next chapter cuz this will just make Sora fall into depression. And let’s not talk about that jaein or wtv, she keeps acting like she’s Soras overprotective mom and it’s suffocating
From Ahyoung's perspective, Sora is a liar. I mean, like, we understand the circumstances behind that, and we know that she was actually lying less than even she realizes (she was actually being pretty honest in most of her interactions with Ahyoung, she was just pretending it was a boyfriend when it was actually Haena.)
But Ahyoung doesn't know any of that. As far as she knows, Sora is somebody who will just make shit up to try and look cool. From her POV, she probably feels more like she's protecting the rest of the class from an untrustworthy person, rather than just hurting Sora.
That's exactly what I believe too.
You also have to remember, she confided some really personal stuff to Sora. The kind of stuff that, taken out of context, could really hurt some people's feelings. Since she doesn't know Sora's side of it, she's probably feeling really vulnerable and exposed, as well as betrayed.
Basically, they just really need to have a good talk and make up, but it might be hard to get that to happen.
Narratively, it makes to most sense for Jaein to mend the bridge there. She's got "redemption arc" written all over her.
