So everybody died, every couple you'd think would stick betrayed each other and either died or forgot about his partner and the girl became a God who doesn't have emotions.
Kinda annoyed at that fact that the God's friends killed him because he wanted to make their wishes come true, they cried while doing so and yet he still said it was a betrayel and got his "revenge" by making their descendants live horrible lives. To me it looks like it was just an excuse to make someone take his place cuz he was tired of living and couldn't think of a better idea.
My girl was forced(aka apparently randomly selected) to repeat her life as a punishment for her ancestors which I think is so dumb. Why not make the people in question live miserable lives and why take it out on the innocent? This guy clearly didn't think this through.
The "happy ending" is another 8th life where there are no powers and the fl fakes(barely feels) emotions for the ml and live together until he'll die and then she'll just end herself cuz she's still a God and now has the power to do so but sticks around just for him.

Kinda understand all of them, but their behavior remains unacceptable.
My guy was treated horribly all his life and the only time he was mostly happy was with her, those 2 years, so it's logic that he'd want to keep her as safe as possible or at least near him. His mother had her own thing, the servants were just for the money, from what I saw he rarely even got out of the house his first 17 years, that archmage said bullsh't to him all the time, it's a miracle he even retained that little sanity he had left, and the father is the single person I can't stand. Only because his son resembled his old man he had THE AUDACITY to beat him up almost every night for stupid reasons, work him like a slave, postpone for as long as he could the succession for absolutely no reason and then have the nerve and surprise to see the hatred his son bore for him later on, saying nonsensical stuff like "oh, he IS like my father". It made my blood boil.
BRO didn't YOU make him this way??????????? How STUPID can you be? I'd sucker punch that sorry excuse of a man like there'd be no tomorrow, make his head have a meeting with a wall and then send him to therapy.
So I only have pity and sadness for Luci. I get where he's coming from, even tho it's wrong.
I'm also a little annoyed at the fact that they sent letters for each other for SEVEN YEARS and his father's wrong doing was just brushed off like it was nothing. Barely 3 panels if even to express their shock and then they acted like they knew all there was to know.
7 years, especially in teenage years, is A LOT and after all that it's a high chance for the person to change, become a stranger. Plus, they DID send those letters, but they hadn't actually READ them, so it's like they ghosted each other and at the reunion they acted like they didn't see for a week or smth.

youre actually my spirit animal, like, seriously. i cannot stand the duke and THE FL??? SHES AN ADULT IN A CHILDS BODY, AND SHE KNOWWSSSS FROM THE BOOK THAT HES BEING ABUSED AND SHE STILL HAS THE AUDACITY TO VIEW THE DAMN DUKE AND DUCHESS AS FATHERLY AND MOTHERLY, LIKE WHAT?? YOUR PARENTS ARE IN KOREA. THESE ARE CHILD ABUSERS AND NEGLECTERS, LIKE WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN YOURE TELLING THE ML TO BE KINDER/GET ALONG WITH THE DUKE????? IM ACTUALLY PISSED OFF JUST THINKING ABOUT IT, THE FIRST 60 CHAPTERS OF THIS DAMN MANHWA ARE RAGE-BAIT I SWEAR

Your reply literally made my day yoo=)))
Just wanna add: did she really know about the abuse? The book she read, from what I understand, only started when Luci met up with that blonde guy several years later and I remember there was a panel, a phrase which said that "she couldn't imagine what he had to endure/ what her attention directed toward him would end up doing"
I mean, after TWO years you'd think she'd catch up on the bruises and such, but she didn't from plot reasons I guess.
And about the parents from Korea honestly I have no memory of them. Wasn't she an orphan or abused there or smth? Some reason to make her want to act like a child and have her wounds licked by the person who probably imagines that she's his ex lover(not in a sexual way) or his daughter made between him and the dead guy

She, almost guaranteed, did know. Theres multiple scenes where we kind of see through her imagination of the og books description of the abuse, and basically she tells the audience "the duke put luci through a torrent of abuse because of the duke's father", like thats something she acknowledges a LOT, like, she knows and tells the audience an extensive amount of information about luci's past
im not totally sure about her parents in korea, but for me, either way, its not an excuse to willingly be a bystander, and even saddle up with the abuser

Oh ok, I understand.
Then ”lucky” Luci for geting her and not some other human who'd at least acknowledge the fact that he's hurting and who'd make a riot in the mansion, would scold his father and starve herself or smth to make a point, because he clearly cares at least a little about her opinions. (=・ω・=)(╯°Д °)╯╧╧

I'm on chap 79, also read some comments and reached the conclusion that these guys will dragg/dragged this trial so much for the sick of it when they could've just forced the princess to do an oath of truth, along with the victim and whoever needs to do it and finish that sh't in half a day.
I mean, why bother including in the story this convenient oath when you'll use it just one time? It's honestly so annoying

1. It's been like 4 years since that red merchant girl saw this guy and for the longest time can't possibly fanthom the idea that he changed and it's so annoying
2. That teacher wanted to make a moment about his backstory but it felt so out of place and forced, just who's supposed to even fell bad for him? Mostly because of the pacing and awful storytelling
3. That skill of his, "acting genius" or whatever, tries so hard to be like "forth wall" from ORV and it shows. Unfortunately, if it was nonexistent I feel like it wouldn't change the sorry one bit. Literally a pointless addition to make the plot a little special
4. Bro why are there so many girls? I only see that boy with the black magic to even interact a little more with MC. Other than that, only "powerful girls"
5. Nox said randomly "the protag doesn't exist" a couple of times and refused to elaborate on that one. Yo. I thought that something as important as this would be given at least 3 panels in a chap but nah, nothing.
6. After having that supreme revelation that the protag doesn't exist why did he keep his bad personality? Did he fuse with it or smth cuz he said at first that he doesn't enjoy doing this, but I see that he doesn't have a problem with it now.
7. That servant from the red merchant, if he's so evil and his stats are so bad, why not just... Get rid of him? if you're saying he is GOING to be, not IS, an absolutely villain later on?
8. That bad organization of his, along with the grand plan of copying himself resembles the plot from "the novel's extra". At this point it feels like a fan fiction of some sort with things taken from popular stories and forcefully inserted into the plot, even though they don't make sense together.
Think i'd find a lot more if I'd take my time to nitpick but these are what stood out for me and I'm only at chap 57.
Anyway, good story to kill time. Not the best, obviously, but as long as you don't think too much you'll be able to enjoy it, at least for the art.

This is one of my firsts anime if not THE first one and I remember binging the manga in 2019. After learning of the fandom and just reading wayy too many things at once, I put a pause on it when Deku gave up his homeless ark which was the coolest one(still kinda bitter that it was so short). Since then I've been quietly waiting for it to end.
Now I guess my time has come to binge read the rest of the chaps.
Princess I can't wait to see you die or at least get tortured
