guys is it worth reading this story? how do you feel about it?
Its not bad, but the plot drags a bit.
Love the story it's become one of my favourites, but the only downside for me is the cutscenes.
They are way too abrupt and it feels like we arrive in the middle of the conversation when we move location. Especially in chap 70, where there was the big reveal. It was literally so random and all of a sudden. I was so looking forward to it but it left me disappointed and with a bitter taste in my mouth because, even tho all the other scenes were fantastic and I waited for this since I first started reading it, we didn't receive any preparation for it and the convo which should've lead to to the reveal went missing somewhere. So yeah, I'm actually kind of mad of how they ended up doing it.
Plus, I get that they tried not to prolong the story too much with the plot cuz it's a romantic manhwa, but bro they went at 6x speed with that walking with the cure through the empire. From other stories I've read, 1 chapter of travel in this one equal at least 15 in normal speed.
The characters are chef's kiss, but the story itself is at times super rushed. And maybe because they tried to break the 4th wall too much(and the travel feeling too short, even tho they say they spent weeks on it) but the problems feel like were resolved way too quickly. Main character convenience/plot armor.
And the fact that they can go to the end of the world so fast like it's right next door from their home annoys me so much.
BBUUUUTTTTT other than that, I smiled and laughed at literally every chapter and I really enjoyed myself reading this story, so it's still a 9.5/10 from me.
Just wanted to vent a little cuz I know that this could've been even better than it already is.
I'm at 155 and thanks to the soundtrack from Dune 2 this story became much more enjoyable.
It's heavily political, there's not much action as in the battle sense, but because it's political it's full of underhanded schemes, fake treason, plots to influence the enemy to move the way you want even if it may take months for it to come to fruition and desperation from our cast when (!Spoiler!) a few(real few) regain their memories from the other timeline over the course of the story because of reasons.
At first I started reading this for the romance because I thought that it'll be the basic romance/revenge story you see at almost every scroll, but besides the first 1/4 or even less, there's not much going on and so I stayed for the plot and absolutely gorgeous art. The action is sometimes real slow tho so watch out for that.
The translations so far are pretty ok, but in the middle(like maybe 30 chaps in total or less?- mostly the part with half chaps) they almost destroyed my brain so idk for y'all, but in those sections I simply read between the lines and looked at the drawings. Because of that(maybe) it got a little hard for me to know who's who and what are actually the schemes, but now it's really easy to follow and I finally know what's going on. Hope it'll stay the same until the end.
As for the actual art, I noticed it suffered some changes as time passed, making the characters more anime like, which means eyes bigger, face smaller. They still look awesome tho, don't get me wrong. It doesn't interfere (in my case) with the reading, it's just something I saw.
And wish there was more to the romance. It's not the main focus so it barely exists as I've said before.
Overall I'd give it a 9/10 simply because it's my cup of tea. Dunno if I'll change my rating tho after I'll finish the story.

I absolutely love this series and their relationship is what I strive to have one day, literally. Love it.
Bro after the art changed this became a literal waste of time. It got so rushed and tbh the ending didn't feel realistic AT ALL, I mean wdym the duke REGRETTED? I don't buy it one bit, I wanted him to be a piece of trash till the end cuz it's way too much of a change in character, not to mention other stuff I didn't bother to see how they ended, like where's the prince now and what about his partner? >=((
I mean I did skim through the last 30 chaps to finish this but man..

It's now one of my all time favourites. I absolutely love the plot, the strategies, the characters, the comedy, the sad times, the serious times and all in between. Toward the end of the season I bawled my eyes out like it was no tomorrow when those characters died and I really can't wait for the next season to appear

Why does the 80th chap feel like the ending when there are obviously lots of things that didn't finish?
Or is it just the season?
Maybe it's the ending for season 1 of the manhwa? Usually manhwa artists take few months off and break the story into seasons.
