sone theory that i found on some forum
well, my theory is
1. She is a spoiled and iignorant person
MC recall in the past when they were kid the sister took her doll her father gave her, she took it back and little sister cried, father punish her. little sister didnt clarify anything ( well, they were just a children but this is also a case)
then on chapter 2-3 after she moved to her new house her brother confront her and mad because he though MC make little sister cry
So little sister didn't bother explaining thing because she didn't care and after all that happened she act nice to MC on her own convenience
and the rest of the family is blinded by the mainset that she is evil and didnt want to see from her perspective
well, the family comunication is messed up and the problem lies on the whole family including original sylvia
2. she is really a white lotus bitch. she defend MC to have a saintess image on the masses
And from what i know the mother is not dead, she is just faraway, anybody know about the mom?
nope she isn't.. in the novel she is really kind and sweet.. she just doesn't know how to express herself because she was scared of sylvia.. when she took Sylvia's doll that was when she was very young and know nothing, so she can't be blame they were kids.. when she cried and run, the brother is the only one who assumed that it was because of sylvia again (after all, only sylvia bully irene emotionally and physically).. the brother didn't even asked irene who made her cry.. he just "HEARD" from a maid talking in the hallway that irene cried after seeing sylvia.. then rushed to sylvia to scold her..
if you observed thoroughly, irene really wanted to make peace and be close to sylvia.. the reason she always get bullied by the og sylvia is because she is always following her older sister, in f she is not by her side she wouldn't be bullied.. but she is always going to her because she wanted to be close with her but always end up being bullied..
