agreed, I hate seeing her fearful face, it just looks like she shit herself with no thought in her head.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks that, last time I complained about her I got shat on instead. But fr we aren’t given enough reason to like her…

finally i have people who understand my frustration. i’ve read a lot of abuse woman story like this but never seen a lead that will be tough with other people on and later on will be trembling with fear or whatever. it feels like she is asking for sympathy with every move she make.

I feel you… The problem with mass produced stories, you get authors who can’t write good characters. And this isn’t even one of those stories where the mc is evil.

and it’s so frustrating on how the people in comment section. being so righteous all of the sudden for defending FL because she was abuse. and i was like I GET IT BECAUSE IM READING IT AND SYMPATHIES WITH HER. and I feel like these people want to rant just because you know

The thing that gets me the most is that ITS FICTION, FANTASY. IT DOESNT EXIST.
The criticism of her character isn’t a criticism of all abused people in the world, it’s a criticism of the writing and therefore the author.

I see it as how I dealed with my abusers. One moment you absolutely hate yourself and are terrified, the next you put up a cold wall by separating yourself from any emotion or thoughts other than what's needed for your "survival". People who do this have a warped fight or flight response so they can be strong and "fight", in social situations. Take it from me, I did it for many years!

Just that from a a storytelling perspective that character is all over the place.

Oh nah, no offense taken. Just offering another point of view :) it makes total sense to me how she can go so quick from one thing to the other. It was always hard to keep the wall so I broke alot of the times I thought no one could see my face. Then when I looked back up I'd be the picture of calm. It's a magic I wish no one ever had to learn

Honestly this is the worst advice anyone can give you so I say do the exact opposite of what I'm telling you. It honestly depends on the child you should be more stern with some then others depends on their character. Even if they're bad kids don't let them forget you still love them because kids who always get in trouble tend to think that it's becuase they are just not loved when that's not the case in fact you're only doing it becuase you care about them. Hitting is never a good solution you might think it is but in the long run its not. Kids aren't dumb so don't underestimate them.

Be stern. Best if the kid gets sent to boarding or is taken care of by other people for a bit. A lot of the problem will lie with parenting, eg if the parents don’t scold enough they tend to be spoiled. Not getting enough experience with people will also make them entitled. I think sports camps are great, esp with a tough coach haha. And having to put up with kids more annoying than them are great too.
Some more constructive ways to get them to grow up is giving them some kind of responsibility. Like taking care of an animal, or asking them to do something and saying: hey can I trust you to do a good job of this?
Or, if they have something they are passionate about give them the opportunity to work for it.

Fax. Don’t hit ur kids. Also don’t mindlessly snap at them. Really assess how big of a deal their misbehaviour is, if it is really bad then you can afford to be a bit angry. But if its trivial then just pull them aside and gently tell them why they should try not to do that.

Based on my own experience (i have 2 spoiled nieces) i just ignore them when they throw a fit/ tantrum. And when they eventually get tired and settle down, that's where I talk to them. I start by saying what they did wrong, and then proceed to tell them what's the right thing to do/explain the situation in a calm manner. Also set limits don't give them what they want cuz they cried.

I'll keep that in mind!

I find its better to try to sort it out when they have a tantrum rather than wait till after, so they don’t get in the habit of throwing them in the first place. Or of you can’t stop them, tell them to go to their room or something until theyve calmed down then do what you said.

i think you're forgetting her condition at the moment...she's a slave who knows nothing about her master's feelings. if you were a slave wouldn't you also hang on to the first chance of freedom that appears in front of you? she's not a mere servant, she's a SLAVE...she could suffer whatever her owner desires to inflict on her and she doesn't know which master she'll have in the future

Man just made out with her. Her boss literally has more power to give her freedom than anyone. How can she not realise he likes her? And after that happens, she accepts a marriage proposal? Why wouldn’t you think about it for a few more chapters come on. Secondly, she was getting along with the commander, just ask the guy what the kiss meant.
Or at least, not use a lazy storytelling technique of skipping to morning to prolong the relationship drama.

that's not how master-slave relationships usually work tho? she literally has no power to ask despite how he's been treating her, and for all she knows he could just be using her to relieve himfelf...let's not forget that he himself ordered to kill her on chapter one (￣∇￣")
also, she's hiding her identity so she probably thinks if he finds out she might really be killed this time

All of that sounds very reasonable, except that wasn’t the thought process she had in the story. She was thinking about all other things, her thought bubbles didn’t mention a thing about what either of us said.
I stand by my statement, she’s one of them dumb shoujo manga leads.
