Like in the beginning she approached him because he was the ML, then she finds out that he isn’t really and then pretty much just ditches him.
Like if you were friends with someone from childhood wouldn’t you try a bit harder to set it straight with them instead of treating them so badly? She’s obviously not a nice person.
but u also have to consider that he was an asshole to her as well. she didn't ditch him because he wasnt the ML she left bc he always treated her badly. sure she could have tried harder to be friends and keep their relationship but if you were in her shoes would you be okay staying with a person who threw ur b-day present for them into a lake repeatedly was rude to you and did not treat you well even if that bad treatment is on the surface and they genuinely cared its hard to tell.
I mean he is doubtful since he was a child and traumatic childhood with hell lot of death flag from your family then there's some kid that you can't even read and suddenly wanted to get close to you. Anyways all the characters is no good. I'm just hoping for character development at this point but there's nothing.
Well you do have to consider that he used magic to manipulate her and in the original novel, he manipulated her so that she would be a villainess that would get killed later on because it benefited him.
Also, no she didn't ditch him because she isn't the male lead. Instead she did so because of all the little things that happened (mainly her drinking that potion and realizing that in the original book he was the cause of her death.)
Wasn’t really expecting a big demon fight, honestly there wasn’t much buildup to it or anything which might have suggested this kind of turnout. Ngl seems to random all of a sudden, the whole mood changed a lot.
Idk
I think they put in subliminals with the scene of the duke killing the Queens spies and the carriage full of his lady harem except for mc being unphased by the murder. Another clue was the Harem explicitly saying that they don’t even serve as a harem or would even care to accept for the little! girl and the red head. Which peaked my interest about why he would take in a harem and what purpose they serve. The biggest clue was the harem naturally playing the role of a stereotypical harem to throw off the queens people and one the harem girls is just casting all sorts of spells. Then another harem !girl implies she is proficient in medicine and poison. This trope reminds me of Black panther and a ethnic group in Africa where the kings harem is to be warriors for king while serving as him harem. But in black panther his sunrise are actually elite women fighters and in real life the kings harem were deadly head hunters specialized for certain tasks or were key leaders in the community like teachers.I knew they would be skilled as spy’s but I didn’t think they would all be specialized in classes like a fantasy rpg which Is the only real surprise. I think the tone was set and I saw it coming the moment the mage in the harem was casting spells on everyone before the delegation arrived. We couldn’t have the harem fighting before because it would lose its paradigm shifting moment
Middle eastern style smut story; but the weirdest thing was definitely how the fl was white asf. Okay she’s from some kind of tribe but what kinda tribe looks like that lol.
Otherwise was just really corny, but of you’re bored it’s what you read hehe. I liked the art as well.
Just wish I coulda seen the babies.
Honestly, I think his character is very well designed.
People complaining about the misogyny and whatever- bish thats the story, and that's the setting. Don’t like it? Go back to reading your yakuza boss shoujo romcom.
As with Haru no Noroi, the characters are supposed to surprise you or make you uncomfortable.
In the beginning we think Yoshino is unfortunate and born into the wrong life, while we see Kirishima as this psychotic guy with no morals. Then it turns out Yoshino isn’t just your average girl, but something about how she deals with things so matter if factly in itself is uncanny. She was also totally cool with killing someone if she had to. She a dang freak and we love her.
By the same logic Kirishima as well. With him though we get a lot more of his good side in the extras and small panels. But as a character he’s the perfect compliment to Yoshino, they are a set. She wouldn’t be nearly as cool without seeing how she keeps him in control.
It’s not really the plot that this author is best at writing, but rather character interaction. In the setting and lore, within the boundaries set by the author the story fits without any issue.
I just rambled a ton but fr, this series is great and the haters don’t know what they’re on about.
Haru no Noroi is a masterpiece, one of my favourite mangas I’ve ever read, I don’t mind the blatant misogyny (more like I toss it out of my head) it’s just that Kirishima is a very unlikable character, she is basically queen boss ass psycho bitch, I absolutely love this story too but I’ll lose my shit if it ends up that she falls for him because ????? Why?????? What of this insane asshole appeals to you Yoshino my queen????? Ew. I can’t name a single characteristic I like about him, his entire character is basically a question mark or a roll of a dice, idk, I think this could be a great story and I like their dynamic but if she actually ends up falling for him I’d be mega disappointed ( it also looks like it’s going on that direction, ugh)
There are loads of movies and tv shows and even celebrities who have fans of villainous characters. I reckon it’s the same with Kirishima for me, he’s obviously a bad guy but he’s kind of the best? If you get what I mean.
And with the romance thing, I don’t think it’s ever going to be pure or what the normal definition of love would be. But tbh the way he treats her is very nice, he’s forgiving, takes her out to dinner, takes care of her, tells her he loves her everyday; you might say he’s two faced because he had loads of side chicks before and he’s still this dominant male type, but I like how the author made it so both sides are genuine. Actually Kirishima is the most honest character, it’s Yoshino who’s actually harder to read, and that’s why they’re the perfect match.
The story is great, I’ve started reading the novel and its very entertaining. But if I hadn’t seen the art first, I wouldn’t be nearly as invested or impressed. The art suits it so well, there’s so much detail, and it looks so good.
Can you please share novel link. I really want to read it. • ‿ ,•
