Hadn't thought of it like that but now that you mention it oh my god he does..

I don't think he's like a child, its like he has adult thoughts and processing but he can't articulate anything bc he doesnt know how so when it comes out, everything sounds childish but big agree, I hope Diarin doesnt accept him until hes got his memories back. I think she is level headed enough to know it'd be like taking advantage of him to be with him as he is now (even tho he clearly wont change his mind ab her even with memories)

I’m personally unsurprised this is the route Pi is taking. He’s not ‘real’ in the human sense but he’s definitely ALIVE and the FL is literally all he has in terms of companionship, both physically and emotionally. He’s growing up and making himself a guy because he’s trying to appeal to her. He’s definitely trying to isolate her mainly because he doesn’t see the problem in it due to his way of living thus far; he’s isolated and yet he’s always been satisfied with her. Why can’t she be the same for him?

I’m surprised the FL is not seeing the issue with him. She has worried in the past about how lonely he gets waiting for her and how she’s been pulling away a little due to the things she needs to do in the real world. But that’s her flaw I guess; trying to be one step ahead of people’s feelings and fucking up which is what makes her bumble with handling Axel emotionally. I do predict Pi will become a sort of antagonist in the future as she will be all for focusing on Axel due to the fact he has real-world consequences, a sense of guilt for failing him as Adrian and probably love later.

Lmao I dropped this when Pi become a love interest. I see him as sibling or friend. I came back because I forgot about this manhwa. Fortunately I wrote a notes. Also the story become so boring to me

Damn I never finished that fic either. For a while it was really popular too. I put so much thought into it ;-; maybe one day I can finish it just for peace of mind.

I don't know, personally (so this could just be me) Amarylis doesn't seem to be written as just evil. She's selfish and cruel but also foolish and naive, so she's not written as a sympathetic character by any means, but she definitely feels like a tragic character who you're meant to pity but not support. I think this way based on how she seems to be treated as no more than a means to an end by the priest who she sees as the only person she can fully trust or rely on, while he's shown he's will lie and cause her harm without hesitation with the recent poisoning incident and with how he's kept her in the dark about her identity all this time

So yeah, I don't think the author means to just write her off as evil, and I think that these feelings of pity you feel are definitely purposeful, but I also doubt the author intends to give her any redemption or happiness in this story
She's a tragedy we're just supposed to watch with hungry eyes as she inevitably inflicts more pain on not just others but herself as she's used by the true villain until her inevitable downfall

Yeah I know what you mean, I pretty much agree with you.
I know its really stupid to say this but my main complaint is that it lacks realism? it didn’t take much for amarylis to go straight to murder when shes supposed to be this lovely princess, she just went crazy and did it. I think telling it this way is too farfetched and diluted the immersion, although its not the most immersive story and make lead 2 is pretty forced in my opinion, he is also another plot device

The only response I can think of is that Amarylis has always had the "lovely" facade but always had the superiority/inferiority complex when it came to Ashtarte. She was always cruel and whatever kindness she showed had a level of "I'm better than you" to it, and now when shes met with the truth, she's still in denial about how everything she's had has been stolen from Ashtarte. She now sees Ashtarte as a threat but views her as a thief who wants to steal everything from her (I think it's projection of what Amarylis would do if in Ashtarte's place and has done in the past)

Personally, I think it is pretty realistic because it reflects how an abuser/manipulator/oppressor reacts when their victim gains an inch, even if things aren't even close to equal, they see it is a reversal of the oppression and harm they've caused where they are now the victim

Maybe not the murder part, so I can see why that feels weird (to me it still doesn't seem too out there cuz Amarylis was never really shown being particularly against murder, so it doesn't seem like a huge change, just that she's now tipping over an edge she never resisted in the first place)

But a big part of it is just that this story speaks to me and connects to my real life experiences and world view in different ways, so to me it is an immersive story
And I can totally see that from another perspective that wouldn't be the case

It might just be the art style changing from the artist getting more skills ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ I’ve seen it happen a lot

Its a pretty big difference for a rather well established style, the author already made haru no noroi and everything stays pretty consistent. One thing I noticed with raise is that occasionally some chapters get incomplete panels or even whole pages, so it could be hiring new hands to lessen the load, but given how different the whole feel is and even the pacing change, I think very likely the author needs a break for whatever reason and a new artist is going over the layout sketches. The art is very clean and nice still so I don’t have any issue with it, I just hope the author is still in good health ;-;
