It's a really balanced MC! Most of the time they are OP as fuq, but this guys is balanced. His defense/outershell isn't ridiculous, like at best 10x higher but it's much lower than that, compared to others as we saw with the heroes stat, and his attack power truly thrives with suppprt. similarly he isn't an invincible tank as, I stated before, his defense isn't ridiculous. He can't straight up absorb the blows and has to carefully defend attacks, showing how skillful he is. His abilities as a tank best shine with a healer aka support showing he NEEDS allies, which is great as this one shows the value of allies.
Honestly the sister elf disgusts me. I understand how horrible she must have felt, but that was no excuse to destroy her sister and try to kill her. Does she think her actions have been resolved because she's sorry?!! Bull!! Not only were so many elves her slaves deprived of their own will, but had she succeeded would it have still be okay if she felt remorse later? i wish Akira chopped off her hands or her eyes as punishment.
similarly elf girl, you suffered for so long. That place must have painful memories. I could never forgive her if I was her, nor could I just move forward like nothing happened, like what she felt was invalidated cause her sister was 'sorry'.
I understand Nobles feel entitled, but seeing her, an entitled commoner, is equally annoying.It's great that shes capable, but to insult others efforts as She looks down on others like trash is just the worst. Honestly I don't get what the MC wants with her. let her fall for her arrogance (unlike him who was betrayed. Huge difference)
He probably wants her to take all the attention and be like her shadow and help her so that she won't be defeated easily making people only see her and not him so that he can stay alive unlike his last life where he died because people feared him for being too strong
Honestly I enjoy how he is loyal to Yue and makes CLEAR boundaries with the other girls. As is it isn't a harem, but a guy who unfortunately has some stalkers who end up being good friends thanks to some shared battles, and their usefulness. They should maintain this relationship with the girls, and if not Yue needs to explicitly state she is okay with sharing.
My only complaint is rather minor, and it has to do with the tone of the story. It was radically different in the first like 3 chapters and established a different narrative from what we saw throughout the rest of the story. i gather Yue changed Hajime for the better, but we kinda ignore how he can gain power through eating, or why he didn't ask for some of her flesh to gain regeneration (early on when he didn't really care for her). Similarly as I said before there were much darker tones from when he survived in the dungeon. We still see it with how he is merciless to his enemies, but I kinda wish we bring back some of that brutality like by having a village ravaged by monsters, something that invokes pure dispair like from that time. All these other problems people are having don't feel hopeless enough as Hajime saves the day before it gets too bad.
i am interested in this i heard a lot of good things about the series. Which is precisely why 7 ch will piss me off more than anything. I KNOW there is more content for there to be an anime.
i find it oddly refreshing that the main weapon is a gun. In fantasy worlds you only see swords and bows, fantasy type weapons. But seeing a gun is a new experience for me. And it doesn't feel pretentious like by making it superior to the other weapons as we saw the orc block it with his axe in like ch 1. I get the impression that when guns are involved they try to bash and insult other weapon type and it gets annoying. Granted I do wish we see how he will deal with his primary weakness, close combat.
I can think of at least 2 other manga with a gun if you are interested.
I'm happy the queen is saying you don't have to conform to beauty standards. That will never be the wrong message. But the way she did it left a bitter taste. There is a difference between being healthy and not others standards of beauty, and being ill. She should tell cinderella about moderation, and while it's fine to indulge in sweets from time to time to also remember to not eat in excess. I understood the message, but the way it was presented gives the impression that she is ignoring the possibility of genuine health concerns developing. But it's nice to see how she is genuinely caring of her daughter seeing how her past life influenced her current self.
Btw, I know she's a dress maker, but I kinda hope we will see her be a badass bureaucrat later on like filing difficult reports and managing territories and being a good leader to her people (lol and the basically take control of the kingdom cause everyone loves her rule)
There is a huge ass problem with action and romance. Action focuses on the adventure and the struggle of the journey. There are some very good relationship developments, but those are usually based on a painful past and overcoming them together (ie you saved my life from this situation, let me help you kill the demon and avenge my family, ect.) but romance requires constant attention and deeper depth. Usually action just pastes romance in, and it sucks. Look at solo leveling. In my opinion chae-in and Jin woo haven't had any meaningful interactions. Likee why would Jin Woo be interested in her? Really interested to start a serious relationship? From what I've read so far the relationship just seems very forced.
This one scene where secretary Cha is reading manga is honestly one of the best inter actions I've ever seen with a potential romantic partner. It has more romance simply because we get to see a facet of who she truly is and she connects with Jun-ho through a shared interest while again exposing their personalities and having genuine fun with each other. 10/10 for this simple scene that develops the story very well
Exactly and the with romance and the constant attention which is required, can take up a bulk of the story. Which a lot of people didn’t ask for or wearn’t interested in. In SL the romance is forced and other the jinwoo no other character has good development. It’s saved by its awesome art and jinwoo strength and op moments.
Idk if u read the novel or not - but in SL, when jinwoo meets haein for the 1st time at the gate her aura and that she could feel his presence when he released his power for a slight second really surprised him cuz no one, even the other s ranker didn't feel it. In south korea, after jinwoo, haein is the strongest active hunter (not just in terms of strength) according to him. While she was interested in him first, he became interested in her as a woman after she calls him her friend. Which i think no one called him in a long time? Or maybe he doesn't have. It was just cuz of this. No special reason is needed to like or be interested in someone (not just considering strength or looks) but yeah
I agree with you. I honestly hate jinwooxHaein slander. I remember the time where ppl here literally hated her just because she's showing feelings I wish those haters just leave them alone.

i wouldn't say I'm hating on it, if fact it's the opposite. i feel the representation of their relationship isn't good enough. I have only seen SL webtoon, no novel for me (yet) and a key problem for me in the webtoon is how we get very little characterization outside of Jin-woo. Part of the problem is that he is so OP that everyone else is kinda obsolete. Like he doesn't even need to team up with others level of obsolete. It makes it hard for Jin-woo to want to interact with others. I
I like Chae in. From the 1st chapter we see of her we saw how considerate she is to patrol and keep the miners safe. I can see Jin-woo admiring this kindness in her, and yet I feel we don't get that. Equally as a trope you see female characters falling for an Op male character, and it makes it feel like they care only for power. i can see why people dislike the ship if they view chae-in as a shallow character. This is why I said romance is just pasted in many action oriented series. It would be great if we saw more and that they learned more about each other, like how Jin-woo is a guy who supported his sister and mother for years when he was E ranked. The lack of these small detail is what makes me think the romance was done poorly, and it would be better to not add romance if they do it like this.
I love to read webnovels if there are translations for webtoons, and as someone who has read both for many stories, be it this genre or romance novels, sadly i do get upset from the way it shows on the webtoon but you can't do anything about it.
In a novel a characters thoughts, or a description of a particular place, scene or action has a lot of detail to enable the readers to picture it in their head clearly.
In webtoons, there's only so much of someone's thoughts or actions they can portray. It's a flaw that can't help but exist because it's supposed to be a comic and not a novel.
There are quite a few scenes in this story and many others, where I may have pictured a characters thoughts to be in a certain manner but when I read the novel it turns out to be something different. Because there's only so much that the artist can draw and portray - especially the slightest of emotions.
So definitely, there may be times when the readers don't understand why they are acting or saying this or that in a webtoon, but that's because they cut many small lines and scenes from the novel to fit it in a chapter. So towards the end, there may be a big gap in understanding for only a webtoon reader and a webtoon/novel reader.
Anyone else wants to see the queen have her eyes gauged out and limbs hanging by a few veins while she struggles to breath from the immense pain from her mutilated body as animals in heat have their way with her. Truly the fate of a bitch. (Similarly we should see her spawn suffer or at least fear. We haven't really seen him unlike this bitch)
Equally I fucking hate the king. Oh he allowed the queen to die and the bitch to corrupt the state in order to avoid conflict? What a farce! His inaction was directly responsible to the suffering of his son and his people. He utterly failed as a king, so how dare he use that as an excuse for being a failure of a father. I hope our MC ruins his reputation, ruins it to the point other countries shun him and his own people rebel. Let him live like a miserable peasent under the same conditions he created and die at an old age, cold and hungry, begging for a scrap of food while fearing the attention of the cruel abusive nobles.
