A really strong premise. Loving regardless of age. The author drew beautifully and she knows the core of her characters and story. However, she focused too much on sex and neglected the other parts of their relationship. She should have went hard on exploring the issues they were facing instead of dealing with it superficially. It would have been more beautiful if the characters got to navigate even further and deeper with their challenges. This could have been a real tear jerker. Still, it was a lovely story that reminded me of a lot of things. I would definitely want to see more from Ji Hye-Kyung.

Thank you for your comment. I finished this story last year, and here I am a year later... You truly pointed out my sentiments, which I was trying to figure out. I questioned why I did not feel satisfied with the last four chapters, and why I tell myself those four chapters don't exist if I reread this story from the beginning lol.
I love that you said, "Loving regardless of age," because that was one of the greatest beauties of this story to me. :)) Mari and Hyuk don't quite understand what Junyoung sees in Sihoon, but I think that also demonstrates that love is personal and unexpected. I like how human Sihoon and Junyoung were portrayed here, since Junyoung followed his heart when he went forward with being with Sihoon despite thinking the latter was a married man and dating Mari. Sihoon was so reserved about dating, but he also didn't expect to fall in love. Yet, we also saw Junyoung's guilt and he broke up with Sihoon. And we saw that Sihoon tried to reconcile, after having his own reflection on his past relationship with Jiseok.
I agree that there was a heavy focus on sex. I think there could have been more communication. We saw that Sihoon wanted to spend more time with Junyoung, but Junyoung was busy working at the restaurant. Junyoung still didn't know what was wrong when Sihoon wanted Junyoung to just listen to the elder. I would have liked to see them resolve this issue, than have a four-year breakup that could have been avoided. I totally expected the characters to miss each other, because they really did have a passionate relationship. I think they could have had a long-distance relationship even. (And I'm still on the fence about Junyoung sleeping around and that unnamed boy who came to see Junyoung. Junyoung was still fully dressed in bed for one thing.)
Like you mentioned, this story reminded me of the feelings we can totally have. Love is not always easy to navigate, but we try and try to make it work. I would be totally open to seeing extra moments of Sihoon and Junyoung. We still don't know what happened to that vacation Sihoon wanted to go on with his mother, and he still hasn't told her he's gay. So, we don't know if she already got the hint about his sexuality and stopped the blind dates... Mari seemed to have matured throughout the four years, off-screened. I'm curious how her breakup with Seongjong affected her. If Mari dated again, I'm curious what those experiences were like.
Anyways, thanks again! I have a clearer view on how I feel about this story too :))

Not 100% Team Sam but I think he is the better option than the kid Sam.
First of all, Henry mostly likes Seth because he sees the younger Sam which is not good because Henry has to see past that. Maybe he will?
But I still prefer it that Henry will be with his first love (and I think the author too?). Sam has been unfair because he's a complete idiot but he still got a chance. He just needs to realize his true feelings and Henry needs to be honest and seize the day.
And they have so much issues because I feel like Henry still in love with the young Sam but is he in love with the Sam now? And is Sam gay or bi or what?
I feel like this route has better plot. I can't wait for future chapters.
On a side note, I feel a disconnected with Henry. Usually I'll root for our love stricken protag but I can't seem to feel for him alone. I just don't emphasize with him as much as I normally would. Still I like the story.

You know what ? The author made this beautiful simple story really complicated. Like so convoluted. Sure it's really interesting and confusing but when it got to the later parts it became dragging. Like the author felt the need to explain which is never a good thing, you need to tell a story not explain. Still that was effing interesting, the art looked beautiful, and I would read more of her works.

Another month is so long. This is no good. I mean, the competition has become stiff thanks to the emergence of Manhwa and webcomic or whatever new out there. I fear that this beloved series will lose steam.
![](/images/home/manga-img-anonymous-30.png)
Because they are updated every week, full in colour and some of them have far more interesting stories and character development than regular mangas. Yes there are mangas released every week but, none of them are Bl.

Anyway we'll see how it goes, but in the case it would somehow affect it, the English comic market isn't the center of the world. There's plenty of money for her to make in the Japanese and French, which already bring much more money in the manga market than America (which has always been on some sort of life support).
![](/images/home/manga-img-anonymous-30.png)
I like European comics, most of them are coloured by hand and you can see the effort they put to create them. There are some youtube videos about it and according to one of them, it takes 40 minutes just to create one panel. I like comics, mangas and manhwas just the same but, that kind of effort is something I really respect.
![](/images/home/manga-img-anonymous-30.png)
Korea and Japan have a hardcore competition that's not limited to manga.
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/9c/u115805_50x50.jpg?2)
That'a possibility. While I love so much mangas, I need to accept that the korean webtoons I read till now have completely adult and interesting stories. Take the yuri genre: almost 70 % (japanese) are stories involving teen agers. I want to see sexy adults, not teenies. The same goes for BL. I would like to see two sexy adult men, not schoolmates (with all due respect).
![](/images/home/manga-img-anonymous-30.png)
This anon already did. I'm only reading Finder because I want to see how it will end, even though using Finder and end in the same sentence feels like a wishful thinking.
P.S: If you like this manga you will love Blood Bank.
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/82/u162_50x50.jpg?2)
One person isn't a reflection of the majority. I have a hard time seeing people here completely abandon a series they like for the sake of another one. Maybe it's just me?
I wouldn't be so sure, I'm actually quite picky on the art when reading comics. Digital drawings feel so cold. Besides, it's a paid comic, why the hell is it on mangago...
![](/images/home/manga-img-anonymous-30.png)
Um, you're still reading it. I don't think you fully understand what "migrate" means.
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/82/u162_50x50.jpg?2)
Not sure what kind of yaoi you've been reading, I can barely think of any that I've read that were about teenagers.
But well, this all seems to be a niche of a niche. It seems like what Seinens are to Shonen. In theory more "sophisticated" stories, but they still seem to sell less than their counterpart.
Also Josei and shojo. Josei is deader than dead.
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/9c/u115805_50x50.jpg?2)
At the starting I was talking more about korean yuri webtoons than yaoi. And also in the BL genre there are many stories where the characters -even if not teen agers- look less manly and almost as 'kids' (Okane ga nai). Hidoku shinaide is a famous story, but, you know, I'm a completely adult person and I don't get aroused looking high schoolers going at it (with few exceptions). That's it. The only almost teen uke (18 y) I like and who makes me aroused is Prince Vald (to be honest) ^^
![](/images/home/manga-img-anonymous-30.png)
Fist, I pay for it why do you assume I read it on here? Second drawings might impress you digital art is not that easy as it looks, as long as you know how to do it correctly it can look alive as traditional. You won't know whether you like it or not without reading it.
And finally can you really blame me for preferring a comic that updates every week instead of god knows when? At this point I don't even remember what Finder's earlier chapters was like.
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/82/u162_50x50.jpg?2)
Why do you assume that I assumed you read it on here? I simply noticed it's on here, you're reading too far in what I said.
It's not about if it's easier or not, it's about just feeling a tad lifeless to me. I'm well acquainted with it actually, I've been through a bunch of mediums. But to me it looses something. It's less organic. Oil, pencil etc. have a certain charm to them. It's personal preference. Can't I feel that way?
I've never blamed you or anyone for that, read again what I said O.o.
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/2a/u1181_50x50.jpg?2)
Don't care. Yupp there are bunch of very good Bl manhwa that updates once a week (or two weeks) which is good....I have many bl that i can wait for every week ("what lies at the end" is soo yummy and "warehouse" is soo damn interestingg, and so many..)
but BIG NO. They will NEVER RPLACE Viewfinder as a top bl manga in my heart. Asami has a special place here *touch my breast..I mean..chest* that even hideyuki Maya or victor nikiforov couldn't take the spot though i love them so much.
9 Years...I've been reading this for nine fckin years, but yess I still love it. No...I mean..I'm still obsessed with it.
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/82/u162_50x50.jpg?2)
In all honesty, I still read like 3 mangas; Finder, Platinum End and One Piece (and Berserk has been tempting me lately, dear god that art and I've heard the story's great too). Actually also Black Butler lowkey, I've lost interest to be honest. I'm veeery picky about both art and story, and simply my life doesn't revolve around reading, time goes by too fast to worry about releases, so I'm quite patient and when chapters upload no matter when, it's always a nice surprise ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭.
So I think I have a better idea than you for what I'll enjoy or not :). Nothing against that webcomic, just not my thing. Plus they look like teenagers :S
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/02/u2121_50x50.jpg?2)
I like some webcomics, but they do not inspire the fan in me the way my favourite mangas do, such as Finder, Kuroshitsuji, Yami no Kodou and Vassalord, but I read more novels than anything, and sometimes there are years between sequels so I am patient like you! (and pretty picky, I actually prefer fan fiction over many of the mangas posted here!) (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

We seem to have similar-ish taste. I was gonna check out Platinum end but it only started like a year ago, so I'll wait it out(and wait for an anime)
I dislike Black Butler too, simply because the shota gives me a bad taste in my mouth. Why must something good be ruined by the worst thing in manga(after loli)
Read Berserk, like right now... (⊙…⊙ ) Berserk is the only thing I put on the same level as One Piece. It's amazing. In terms of story/characters, the quality is higher than One Piece, and the art work I'd say, VF is close to Berserk's level.
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/9c/u115805_50x50.jpg?2)
About the novels I'm with you. It was a completely casual thing that I started reading yaoi mangas. I remember reading some comics when I was a child and the only manga I was interested at that time was Versailles no bara. I started coming in this site to find recommendations/suggestions because the first BL I read was a real adult story, and I thought the entire genre was like that... but it was full of stereotypes. I still tend to prefer the BL (even some baras) who are appealing for both:guys and girls. Am I the only one who likes yuri webtoons? Oo
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/a5/u85538_50x50.jpg?2)
For me, it's apples and oranges. Most of the webtoons seem darker (I know there are dark yaoi too) and more about trying to figure out what is going one than having an erotic fantasy. I mean Blood Bank is erotic AF (as they say), but still you have to figure out what is going on with the plot.
Finder has a plot and gods know I speculate on it, but it's not the same. For me Finder is first about Asami and Aki and their hot sex life, and then the plot comes into it. In contrast, in many of the webtoons, people argue about whether readers should ship the main characters at all. It's different.
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/82/u162_50x50.jpg?2)
Platinum End I'm actually still not sure if it's good or average. But it's intriguing enough and the action is rather quick paced. It's just that the characters seem to lack a bit, especially the MC. I'm not sure if it's because the humans were all suicidal so they end up just being depressing (chapter 1 spoiler, no worries lol), but the angels all have their fun quirks. Maybe they'll evolve better as the story advances.
But I have to tell you this, if you haven't checked out the anime Fate/Zero, go watch it. Just go. It's one anime I can recommend you with 99% certainty, it's just so good in the animation and story departments.
Yeah well One Piece's arcs can be very hit or miss, aren't they? Like I couldn't bear the Fisherman arc, I swear I must've skipped whole chapters because I didn't pay much attention to it. But as a whole, it's great, and well I'm looking forward to start Berserk eh, it even got my boyfriend interested so that's going to be the first manga he reads ;).
Which by the way, he also loved to bits Fate/Zero eheh, and well he's a fan of Stephen King's works which Gen Urobuchi, the original creator, take great inspiration of in his works.
I must say, Black Butler isn't really shotaish anyway, well in the manga that is (and not the anime adaptation), the fandom is making it sound much worse than it actually is; I even know people who never noticed the few subtle undertones lol. It's not that I dislike Black Butler, the latest arc was just really slow and kind of boring and so I've been reading it quite sparsely. It's more of a "haven't put too much attention in that series lately".
But actually, some loli undertones actually don't bother me as much, especially if it's played with with witty dialogue and STRONG characterization. Like Bakemonogatari; I just really dig the humor, and the main characters really are among the most unique and complex I have yet to encounter, they often break the 4th wall so it's very self-aware, even often gets into philosophy etc. And actually the few lolis are adults in child bodies (one's a vampire, one's a ghost etc.) But to some the humor doesn't speak to them, which makes the whole series much less enjoyable obviously and makes it hard to bear until season 3, where it really starts to pick up and tones down the fanservice. As for me it's one of my guilty pleasure series along with Finder ahahah (though uh there's some ecchi but not actual sex lol). The MC is actually one of my favorite characters ever.
I don't suggest you to check it if it isn't with an open mind and trying to look past the "service" when it's there, I was just saying, it's still to this day one of my favs, there's really really strong arcs and characters in there ^^"

If you think VF and Berserk has similar artwork you should read more seinen manga. Specially the old school ones, most of them have such realistic artwork VF could be compared to OP next to them. If you're interested these are some examples I can show;
http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/heat/
http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/sanctuary/(If you like VF you will love this, Mc is like if Asami was a regular seinen guy.)
http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/hotel_harbour_view/
http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/ichi_the_killer/
http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/shura_yukihime_gaiden/ (This manga has the most realistic artwork I have ever seen in my life. Even VF looks like OP next to it).
I don't know about you but I'm really impressed with this one. Good story, good execution, and the crowning glory is the realistic characters. They feel real and multidimensional. They don't behave so they can convenient for the plot. Can't wait for future updates.
