For a time of crisis they are too happy-go-lucky... Going without any additional escorts to a place crawling with monsters just to cast a magic, that her teacher should also know... I mean shouldn't Philia's teacher/real mother be able to do it? Does it have to be Philia only for the dramatic effects?

Doha is getting more and more annoying. First, he tags along unasked, then he hinders Lariette from trying to contact Arsahan, then he tries to gaslight Lariette into thinking that Arsahan wants to kill her and now he's pissed off and ignoring Lariette. Way to go you egocentric douchebag.

It’s mainly cuz his portrayal in the novel is different, like during this part, he’s actively protecting the female lead because people that work for the mail lead misunderstand the mail lead instructions and think he wants to kill his ex so they actually tried to attack people that look like her so the second male lead literally in the novel is trying to protect her, but I do agree he’s still annoying but honestly, the female lead is also pretty annoying in the novel
I read it waaaay back and it was amazing, but now that I'm older and rereading... Working adults pinning after 16yo girls? It's making me very uncomfortable. There's no remorse or even acknowledging that the girl is a minor, just treating them as an adult. Very disturbing.
