it's not as good as I remember

I read it waaaay back and it was amazing, but now that I'm older and rereading... Working adults pinning after 16yo girls? It's making me very uncomfortable. There's no remorse or even acknowledging that the girl is a minor, just treating them as an adult. Very disturbing.

For a time of crisis they are too happy-go-lucky... Going without any additional escorts to a place crawling with monsters just to cast a magic, that her teacher should also know... I mean shouldn't Philia's teacher/real mother be able to do it? Does it have to be Philia only for the dramatic effects?
