He hasn't really stepped out of line so far, so I can understand where the MC's coming from. But firstly, where does it even say that she's now in love with him??? Literally all it says is that her heart is leaning toward him? Anyway, back to the first point. I think as people, we're prone to being swayed by the way we're treated even when we know it's probably fake. The ML's a "monster" but he's acting kind toward the MC, so she's probably feeling pretty confused. Sometimes, it's easy to get caught up in someone else's act and then regret it after. Another thing, our MC knows that the ML ate the original MC, but wasn't that because the original MC held no other importance to him anyway? He wasn't interested in anything other than her flesh. But for our current MC, it might be a different story. You see a lot of transmigration stories where the MC knows who's gonna kill her, and she goes to them and try to change their opinion of her so they won't kill her.
Obviously I know the MC isn't trying to do that in this story, just making a point. Honestly, even if her heart is leaning toward him right now, I bet if he goes and does something "monster"-like she'll immediately snap out of it
