I only care that Cain got his happy ending. He was 100% better off without Jooin. Honestly I expected Jooin to end up with Yahwi even if he was pretty toxic. Jooin deserves Yahwi because they both were pretty shitty characters in general, Cain had his moments too but Christ did this story put me on a rollercoaster.
Yeah dropping this I cannot do it with this shipping thing. I hoped it was just for the Gl version but it’s clear the author is gross. The reason why I find it extremely gross is because I’m personally adopted (from a young age) and for some reason so much media (like anime) ships family members simply bc they r adopted. And it’s especially weirder/even more gross if the family members grew up together or gets raised by adopted parent and they become romantic. Adopted family is basically the same as any other biological family if they are raised together or a parent is raising a kid from a young age. You see whoever raised u as ur parent/guardian so it’s basically shipping son x father, it’s extremely gross to make that romantic.
Im sorry but Jooin is so unbearable at this point. ☠ Everyone should just go their separate ways atp bc none of these pairings are good. I like some of Cain’s character and he could honestly have a great romance with the right person…author just wants to ruin Cain’s character bc of all the backlash of Yahwi being obvious endgame in the beginning since they wrote Yahwi to be even more unbearable at the beginning than Cain.
I really, really, really, wished that my gut was just playing with me. I was hoping for a pure father-son relationship, and I’ve always noticed subtle weird like tones when the two are older, but I always thought it was because the author was used to drawing BL that it may have bled through to this but isn’t meant to be romantic at all. I really hoped that was the case and potato is just naturally clingy and loving with people he sees as family because I do know people who are similar to that. Until the newest post where they made it very…very…clear that there is an indeed romantic undertone to the relationship. “GL”…
Okay I’ll say this once but please do not defend this under the pretense that it’s okay because potato isn’t biological related.
And I’m saying this as someone who is adopted and I was adopted roughly around potato’s age (based on his walking and talking development), and let me just say it’s the same as basically seeing your parent as a potential partner. It’s weird and disgusting because when you recognize someone as your “caretaker/parent” from a young age, that is what it is despite biologicals because that is how you grow up. (Nature and nurture guys…). And it’s very obvious potato sees papa as that parent and it’s shown that he grows up with papa seeing him in that light, which is why it’s extremely wrong for them to be any way romantic. It’s very groomish. I don’t see how people are okay with this but yet again it’s mangago…
That’s all I really have to give in this discussion, I will most likely be dropping this bc it does make me uncomfortable for someone who is adopted and how media is portraying that this is OKAY, because they aren’t biologically related when that’s far from the truth.
Guys I don’t know why this is a controversy or argument. There is quite literally undeniable proof of sexual assault and rape in Jinx, I invite you to read the story over because Dan does say “NO”. To the point he’s crying…if you cannot see that then I am genuinely concerned for you and anybody that gets in a relationship with you if you cannot recognize sexual assault or rape.
For the recent chapters, I like seeing that they are showing us another sort of “route” with Van but at the same time I thought Blaine and Ver’s story is probably the best outcome. She was able to get her revenge in the main story and Blaine always understood that sort of…”malice” side of her while Van does not. The side story with Van makes it so Ver doesn’t really necessary bring out her own revenge like she did in the main story with Carter. But I do have to say, I’m like wondering if something happened between Ver and Blaine in the main story that caused Van to regress. Van was relieved Ver was still alive and I’m wondering if Ver died unexpectedly or from natural causes, it just seems somewhat iffy…? But I’ll be devastated if I’m right because I loveeee Blaine and I hope nothing bad happened after the “happy ending.”
