Killing her is kinda like the ideal of a supremacist and a paranoid individual <- a probable action by a twisted extreme patriot <- a commander of shadow warriors

With regard to their rebirth, is my understanding correct that it was something of whimsical curse/blessing of Fate, after being called by Eishin's deep despair?
And the thing that lifted it are 2 things:
1. Eishin was finally able to have the courage to not kill Houri, overcoming the deep fear and anxiety of what if they never meet again.
Which also have an implication of accepting that they have to accept the risk of focusing on their one (present) life, regardless if they live or die thru the ordeals of fate
2. Surviving Fate's attempts to kill Houri until they reach the age of 21 -> that also means they kinda got lucky since it happened soon
For a first manga it's really good. I liked it a lot esp the angst, turning into happiness thereafter.
If you think about it, the whole country at the time of betrayal was complicit to the genocide of her clan because they supported the 1st emperor's witch hunt (if I remember correctly)
If I was blinded by rage because of that magnitude of betrayal and harm, I would've wanted to take revenge on the whole country too, especially if the blood of my brethren were used to support the foundation of a country
And that's what makes this story unique and interesting for me. It's not wholly about who's right or wrong anymore, but of survival.
If you ask me, if the unconfirmed story of how their God manipulated the 1st Emperor to betray Anita was true, then THEY are the true villain here and not Anita.
Yup, and even then its so complicated because we know that the first emperor didn't do it just because he wanted to. He was mandated by the god in their world and only time will tell how much influence that entity had on his motivations to carry out the genocide.
I wonder if it will make an appearance through regina as all of his descendants carry 'gods mark'

I think it was already said that the said cousin do have the beast fang too, that's why she stayed and grew up with Phileo. So Leonia inherited the beast fang from her mom. Seeing that most of them have the characteristics of black hair and eyes which is only Boleoti have, indicates that the Boleoti blood is quite thick/strong.
Also, Pelio do really love and cherish Leo so much. Even when he met and fell in love with Barria (Leo’s future mom), he told her that if he have to choose between Leo and Barria, he’ll choose Leo. That’s how much he loves Leo

From what I understand It seems that the "Hero"
originally treats all humans equally and not supposed to value one human above another. In this case Shaayu values Itsuka and forbidding him leaving the party. My guess is if the hero prioritize this person or what they want over the good of those lives that surrounds them. Itsuka became aware that Shaayu have a possibility of going on a rampage like the other Heros. He probably now thinking up ways to prevent that from happening. I think he wants to be with her but also doesn't want to be the reason of why Shaayu becomes less of a hero. In Ch. 2 Itsuka might have been the only other party member left standing only because Shaayu tried to protect him.
