I could discuss this series endlessly, especially given the compelling conclusion of the first season. To begin with, I believe the main characters should ultimately be together. Both Heeseo and Taekyung are at fault in their complex relationship.
Heeseo, traumatized and suffering from depression, was isolated until Taekyung entered his life. Taekyung, investigating Heeseo’s mother's death without informing him, left Heeseo feeling abandoned again, compounded by Taekyung's reluctance to accept him. The inability to communicate effectively led to predictable outcomes.
Taekyung should have been transparent with Heeseo about his plans and actions. Despite his initial resistance, Taekyung did develop feelings for Heeseo but refrained from disclosing his mother's situation due to her stage three cancer, unfairly blaming himself instead. This misunderstanding is shared by both parties. Heeseo would benefit from therapy, and Taekyung needs to openly communicate with him, providing the comfort and dialogue Heeseo has always needed.
Now, after seven years, Heeseo has reappeared. I am eager to see how the story progresses, though it would be disappointing if the main characters do not end up together.
Babe, We could talk about this forever. . I feel like after 7 years heeseo healed after all that reckless shit(i wouldn't but i think he wouldn't too, just a hunch) and would come back and still liking taekyung, But in my opinion i would still like them to be together but bitch, taekyung doesn't even feel the same way, So whatever happens in s2 I'd just accept it. (They'll end up together since they main couple
To be honest with you all, I really enjoyed this overall, but the ending felt a bit rushed. I’m left with quite a few unanswered questions. For example, do they still have their powers at the end? And why did the sister act that way towards him if she truly loved him? Was it really just about the company, or was there more to it?
The whole memory erasure and recovery aspect also felt... off. He erased all his memories, and then after seeing him two or three times, boom, they’re back? That felt a bit rushed and could’ve been handled much better. Plus, the way he forgave him in the end felt a bit too easy. I get why it happened, but it could’ve been more impactful.
And then there’s the fact that he hid his own powers. That was a major point that they could have explored further, but I guess that would’ve changed the plot and forced the story to end earlier. Still, it’s a missed opportunity.
Overall, I’d rate it a solid 4/5. The story is good, and I personally love this kind of art, so the visuals were definitely not a problem for me.
