It seems like the blonde likes mao, but it’s one of those “I’ll make you happy” complexes. It’s like... “I want you, but I’m okay if I don’t have you as long as I can see you happy.” ??? I don’t know if y’all get that vibe too. He knows mao wants Hime, and he doesn’t want to come to terms with not being wanted if Hime and Mao don’t work out. He also doesn’t want to see mao get hurt by being rejected by the dude he wants.

In a sense, it’s like the huntsman in Snow White, but Hime isn’t Snow White... Mao is (to the dude trying to break up hime and dog boy). That’s why he’s all butt hurt that everyone thinks Hime is so beautiful. I do feel like this assessment could be a bit of a stretch though.

Absolutely love this series, the art, the characters, the everything.

Honestly... the big bro with the child (appearance) turned me off quite a bit... I’ll just have to skip over any chapters including them. I felt super uncomfortable.

The rest of the story is pretty good though. I’m interested to see how everything develops.
