Luka is back in time for sure
Hm that's a possibility but I haven't seen any hints on that. I think the storyline changed because of Eudith's treatment to Luka. He may have opened up a little when Eudith tried to be a good aunt to him and when he saw his maternal aunt being so friendly with his paternal uncle (with matching flowers and sparkles as background lol) he must've thought that if he acts mature, cool and adult like he would grab all his aunts attention. Cause yknow they just got close but some stranger claiming to be his uncle was much already close and friendly to his aunt. (Hence the misunderstanding)
To summarize, he wants all his aunts attention? I get that vibe from him since he is a child. Children wants attention.
But there have been plenty of hints. He said "it wasn't like this last time", suddenly knows about noble clothing, suddenly knows how to read, and also how to fight? That sounds like stuff he would have experienced if everything went according to the novel and he time traveled back. Plus he's not reacting like the first time like everything is stuff he's used to (the snow, the train, the clothes) which would all be normal things for him in the first timeline
I think it's just because Eudith sucks at fashion that's why they chose the clothes themselves. That was proven when Eudith tried to pick something for Luka but it was yeah a total fashion cringe (just for comedic purpose of course) And if he really knew how to read then he would've had the confidence to read the book or the daily gossip out loud to prove it to his aunt, instead, he reads it slowly as if he's trying to figure out if the words and pronunciations were correct (you can see the letters on a smaller and different font indicating that he's shy or making his voice small). About the 'fight'.... Well it was hardly a fight at all. If he were reincarnated and had already experienced a battle, don't you think it's a little reckless of him to just suddenly just 'attacked' the assassin with a butter knife? and not thought about the situation since he returned as a ten year old child and already went through the same danger? (Though my reasoning for this one must be too excessive ┐( ∵ )┌).
Please, kid just acted like mature adult and cool Infront of his aunt. He's just copying what he saw in his uncle inorder to impress(?) his aunt. I get that vibe from him.
Like I said, Eudith's change also changes the plotline including Lukas perspective and personality. Remember when Eudith said that Luka in the novel was gentle because he wants to get close or something to the people in the duchy? It's because he was being neglected and was sold by his original 'aunt' that he wanted to be good to his new family. Who knows maybe this grumpy personality was actually his real personality. His first response to Eudith being kind to him was the evidence of my conclusion.
Also, you quoted "he wasn't like this last time" did Luka said that or Eudith? I feel like you're referring to when Eudith saw the thick snow and saw Lukas indifference and compared him to the novel Luka.
If it was Luka then can't you tell me which chapter? I must've missed it.
Chapter 11 page 27 and regarding Luka's reading, he was obviously trying to appear to be sounding the words out. He knows how to read but it would be suspicious if he was fluent so he tried to downplay it. He also reacted before the assassin attacked as if he knew what was going to happen. It's way more likely that he traveled back in time rather than him just "trying to act like an adult". The author made it plenty clear that they were going with the regressor plot
Bruh i read too much yaoi so when i see gallahan i immediately fall for him and thinking he is a lovely uke

This should answer your questions. You are basically sexualizing a character and assigning him sexual position based on his looks.
Simply put: Over interest in something as well as sexualization of a certain group of individuals. In your case: Queer men.
Fetishization doesn't have to be as blatant as masturbating to BLs, or even
those "I want to be a gay man" or "I want to be the 'uke' so bad"
we hear all too often within this community. But it can be as subtle as this
"YAY I LOVE GAY GUYS! PLEASE KISS!" that I've been told times and times again. Lurking at and enjoying the sight of MLM love. That's fetishization.
It's something foreign that makes them feel a way that straight content doesn't or only does so in extremely minimized amounts. This, is also a form of fetishization. You seek out a thrill out of looking at what is "forbidden". Another side to it would be seeing two men holding hands is some kind of act for them to get off to and lurk at. Again, it's a "forbidden love", a "thrill". It wouldn't even matter to them if said two men weren't even gay, they'll just want them to bone anyway. Fetishization comes in many aspects, and simplifying it to masturbating for one's own convenience is just bigoted.
"I read too much Yaoi", "He is such a lovely uke", all of those expressions being used yet you failing to see a problem there only goes to show that you are extremely uneducated on real MLM issues, as well as what using such terms implies and consumption of such works without proper education only means one thing: ignorant fetishist.
That's kinda the point. Blindingly producing Art without taking awareness of its weight is not only rash but dangerous.
The problem is not women reading BL in it of itself. The problem is that said women who do so only do it out of this "thrill" and not only that, but encourage and promote the toxicity within the BL genre as well as supporting preconceived and dangerous ideas that are being spread about around the genre by those, which, in turn, washes off onto real MLM relationships and people. Consciously or not. There wouldn't be anything wrong with straight people writing about MLM love if, and only if these people were let their readers know that they aren't MLM themselves, as well as make an effort not to romanticize toxic content and tropes and EDUCATE themselves on proper MLM issues and dynamics. One must remain aware of what they are writing, as well as its potential consequences and the weight it carries.
Okay then you have to educate all yaoi, shoai, DJ authors and readers. Please don't go to mangago if you want to call out or 'educate' someone based on your 'knowledge' if you have sooo much time to typing that much words and commenting on someone you don't know on mangago please use your free time to make a journal or article regarding this matters maybe then someone will be really 'educated' by you ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I'm gonna end this discussion but go on if you all want to continue this discussion. And oh i don't feel 'educated' at all btw
It's quite funny to me that your only argument in response to this is "well then don't do that here then", "please use your free time to make a journal or article regarding this matters maybe then someone will be really 'educated' by you" This just goes to show that you have nothing to say in your defense. And as such, are relying on backing off and "playing it cool" to save face.
Matter of fact is that you undeniably do fetishize MLM, you just don't like that we're calling you out for it.
"if you have sooo much time to typing that much words and commenting on someone you don't know on mangago" Are you 12? Can't you find a more concise argument than "boo hoo I'm just a stranger on mangago" --Freedom of speech is not freedom of consequences love. It doesn't matter whether we are cousins or strangers. Be we on Mangago, Youtube or even on the New York Times. If you can't stand criticism and being called out on toxic behavior then don't be toxic in the first place.
To go back on this gorgeous piece of nonsense right here: "please use your free time to make a journal or article regarding this matters maybe then someone will be really 'educated' by you" --Cute. You see love, the real world doesn't work like this. Us, MLM have to all too often rely on resources such as illegal reading sites, reddit, youtube or even blogs to just reach a few people. If it were as easy as "writing out a journal article", then we would gladly do it. Do you know why we can't? HOMOPHOBIA. Whenever we attempt to speak up in our defense, bigoted people such as yourself will constantly try to silence us and look down on our issues. It's extremely hard to even get recognition in the first place. So to be even publicized is a whole other matter.
"I'm gonna end this discussion but go on if you all want to continue this discussion. And oh i don't feel 'educated' at all btw" --Guess you can't read then.
If you really are a gay man reading BL yet STILL manages to be that fetishist and toxic I am even more so worried for you. This is already a huge problem with women but as a gay man you should know better and be willing to educate yourself and not pertain in toxic patterns and behavior, yet you are indulging into it. Being gay doesn't give you a non-bigot free pass. If anything it makes you even more bigoted for doing so by being someone who should be the first to realize the issue.
Who cares? It's a fictional character... what is your endgoal in making the argument that OP is sexualizing a character? Because the only point you'd be making by pointing that out is that he's sexualizing a character. Does this EXTEND into something? Are you trying to argue that he's a piece of shit FOR sexualizing a character? Doubt many agree with that... even entertaining that he is, no one other than types like you give a shit.
Op isn’t only sexualizing a character but also fetishizing a gay people . I am not really trying to argue with anyone here. Just replying to op since they talked about having a mature conversation which I clearly get you aren’t. I mean I get it you think it’s ok to fetishize but don't think that there isn’t a majority of people who are disgusted by it.
"Simply put, you don't want to be judged for fetishizing"
No one cares WHO you judge you crazy bitch. Your opinion is irrelevant and the vast minority. Even entertaining that he IS fetishizing the character, it's a fictional character.
I repeat sweetie, NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE POINT YOU'RE TRYING TO MAKE BECAUSE IT'S STUPID AF AND ALSO, WHY WOULD WE CARE ABOUT YOUR MORALS ARGUMENT WHEN YOU'RE HARASSING SOMEONE IN A COMMENTS SECTION? FROM A THIRD PARTY VIEW, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO LOOKS RUDE, NOT THE GUY WHO LEFT A RANDOM COMMENT ONLY TO BE ACCOSTED BY YOU! I DONT WANT A MORALS LESSON FROM A HYPOCRITE.
"It's just fiction" is the dumbest argument one could make, first of all. Not to mention that if you'd actually read what we wrote, you wouldn't be making this comment in the first place. I've clearly explained above what the issue was and that sexualizing the character was not the core of the problem here but a symptom. And that the real problem that we have with this is fetishizing gay people. And yes, fun fact, you can be queer and STILL be a fetishist yourself. Again, it's not a free pass to no-bigotry-land.
"Are you trying to argue that he's a piece of shit FOR sexualizing a character" Wow.. Now you're just putting words into someone's mouth. That's a whole new level of nonsense. Nobody said that he's a piece of sh*t. What we did say tho is that this is fetishization and it's a huge problem. Does it make him a piece of sh*t? No. What it does make him tho, is a bigot.
"no one other than types like you give a shit. " And yet here you are... Clearly giving a shit since your comment didn't write itself all alone.
Now who was insulting who again......? Literally no one is harassing anyone here but you. You're the one coming in all caps and offensive words. Not us. All we did was make an argument and explaining our point of view. Now how you fail to see this is beyond me. I also don't see what hypocrites you see here 'cause I see none.
Now how am I being toxic? Am I toxic for pointing out ACTUALLY toxic and damaging behavior as well as what the issue was? I think not. Last time I checked, all I did was explain why their behavior was worrisome and toxic and invited them to review it. And why it would be nice to do so. It's not like I insulted them or anything. The only person accosting anyone here is you.
Hi! I'm okay~ let them be, thank you for stand up with me(๑•ㅂ•)و✧ do not waste your energy, bet they just kids who get too much free time or what, while we here to enjoy comic, don't let them ruin it~
And i dunno why at some point they criticizes me for reading too much bl and spouting a random comment while one of them clearly reading many bl too (
Allow me to tell you exactly what I told OP then:
Fetishization is a real issue and with this already being a huge problem with women, as a gay man you should know better and be willing to educate yourself and not pertain in toxic patterns and behavior, yet you are indulging into it. Being gay doesn't give you a non-bigot free pass. If anything it makes you even more bigoted for doing so by being someone who should be the first to realize the issue.

And hey @lex @stardust, what's the point of this conversation actually? You guys seems really pathetic at this point.....
And how am I fetishizing a queer person when I AM a queer myself? figuring out. And also i'm not fetishizing gallahan, i was just thinking that his drawing is so nice while he looks like many bl character that i've been reading. What about my words that you all can not understand? Please get out and breath a fresh air or do your homework. Oh you guys are adult? Then, get out, work, make some friends, drinking with your friends, and wear a mask~~~~ @lex @stardust
Again... Being Queer doesn't give you a pass to bigotry. You aren't immune to fetishizing just because you are part of the LGBT+ community. It's not how it works. If it were, we wouldn't be here having this discussion in the first place.
Not to mention that, just like I and @Stardust previously stated, you, YOURSELF said, I quote: "he is a lovely uke". If that isn't problematic, I don't know what is. Again, these were your own words. You didn't just say "the Art looks like the one most commonly used in BLs". No. You CLEARLY said "he is a lovely uke". That IS fetishization. And that is not to mention how, you being a Queer person should be the FIRST to know how MUCH of an issue reducing characters to mere sexual positions is. Yet here you are. Indulging in and encouraging this toxicity.
