Considering this story development has the same skeleton as BJ Alex had, probably yes.
We are at the phase where he realised he probably like/love Dan. Dan is still kinda ignoring him, now we are getting his sad backstory, after that will be lame redemption arc, pretty predictable since it follows the same points as her previous story.
