MY OPINION
Tbh I feel like thereâs not really a story anymore after theyâve gotten together. Itâs more like mitsuki is chasing her dreams now and aya is afraid of losing mitsuki. Im not trying to say blue yuri is happening, im just saying it seems like such a possibility that this record studio is the key to mitsuki going to the statesâŚthatâs just my opinion and me rambling thoughâŚ

No yeah I get that part Iâm just saying *I* feel like the pacing is too(?) slow and it feels like weâre just being fed slice of life slop with plot squeezed between. am I complaining ? yeahâŚdo I gaf, not really⌠Im lwk a d1 hater for this manga anyways idk. Iâm always up for discussion on how im wrong, plz comment if you disagree I want new opinions since its always glazers in the comments

I think it's more that build up takes extra long when the chapters are so short + adjusting to the feeling of changing gears to a different phase of the story with different goals, I think if the 2-3 panels per chapters were put together into one longer chapter, it wouldn't feel out of pace or too slice of life-y at all and more like a montage/showcase of the processes each character is going through before Mitsuki gifts Aya something so meaningful

Yes, thatâs actually why I went back and reread it in all its entirety, however, I still feel like the pacing is slow? Of course theyâve known each other 2 years now, and Iâm assuming has dated for 1 month minimum at the least. This isnât a oneshot, so I canât really say much compared to the authorsâ other works, but I feel like itâs drawn so much so like a oneshot, it should just be a oneshot(?) if that makes sense. The chapters are so short with slice of life gags put in some chapters. I genuinely feel like this couldâve been a oneshot but the author decided to make it a series.
Yes seeing mitsuki and aya develope their feelings and become their future is meaningful, but I feel like thereâs not much to be said when updates are slow and not every chapter includes the same topic.
Another yuri, canât quite remember the title, âstory about feeling conscious about my childhood friend(?)â which has the same color concept i feel like does a better pacing with the same amount of panels.

The plot is the title.
But after theyâve figured each other out and are dating, itâs kinda just about self discovery now. Also SpyxFamily has a plot too. What doesnât have a plot is something like Azumanga Daioh, or a yuri, Virginsâ Empire.
If it was something meant to be drawn in her spare time, then it wouldnât be a series. Itâd be like her other works or something like Shino to Ren and Convenient Semi-friend

No Endo literally said they hated sxf and only worked on it when they werent working on other projects. Idk abt currently but he did say that at least a year ago. Lolol
Ur right abt plot being the title but that doesnt mean its a meticulously thought out plot that has a clear ending and carefully planned progression to said ending

Yeah SxF is only being worked on periodically but it still has a plot? To stop each side from ending world peace. It doesnât change even is the author hates it. Itâs still the same art and concept
So you kinda just reiterated what I said. Yes the plot is the title. And what Iâve said previously is that the plot is finished. Theyâre dating now, and itâs basically a manga about self discovery and realization.

So, the reason the chapters are so short is bc this is a twitter manga. Each chapter is 4 pages bc you can only upload 4 pictures per post on Twitter at a time. Typically it gets updated once a week (every Sunday) unless the author is sick or on hiatus getting ready/doing promo for physical releases.
I totally agree with you that this has dragged out way too long, with too much unnecessary drama, and feels a little disjointed from one chapter to the next with the author jumping between characters and their arcs. Those are all very valid criticisms. It really could have wrapped up in the first volume, but it's dragged out for so long that we're on volume 4 or 5 at this point.
However, I still enjoy it. Aya and Mitsuki are still adorable and, bc the chapters are so short, it doesn't feel like a chore for me to read (anxiety's a bitch). I think it's jumping around so much bc the author is trying to wrap up all the little arcs and dramas that have happened along the way so we aren't left wondering what happened to each character. I really feel like this is coming to a close and the author doesn't want to leave us with anything hanging out there, so they're trying to wrap everything up, but it's hard to fit everything in 4 page chapters.
Idk, this is just a really long way to say, I get where you're coming from, but I still like it lol
Man I love Yuni so much
