i find this new character charming as fuck, and i am afraid he met an early grave, this stinks of tragedy and traumatic past all over for baker boy
Yeah, I like him, too. Maybe even a little more than the MC. But I admit, I'm weak for this type: androgynous, feline eyes, sassy, a little twisted and flirtatious.
i love this mangaka, and i just finished reading vol 1, it was a lovely, heartwarming ride til bam, domestic violence and rape, and when the rape serves a narrative purpose i dont complain, but this time it felt so plastic, so forced, the way an argument scalated that way, the shallow apology over line, the too easy forgiveness and lighthearted way of laughing it off like if nothing ever happened, it just rubs me the wrong way and it spoils for me all the fluff and tenderness that comes afterwards, so can someone tell me if taichi goes full yandere on vol 2, or he manages to keep his shit together? because right now i am not in the mood for any media that laughs off violence and rape in a relationship like if it was completely normal
this webtoon was such a trip, i hesitated a lot before picking this up, i was not in the mood for gore and grim, but today i found myself with nothing to do in a very cold, dark and rainy day and i just finished it in one sit, i think i forgot to breath for half of it, the pace is golden, the premise is simple yet original, and the characters are so well fleshed out that make me want to pick up psycho pathology in college all over again, not a single scene felt random, everything was precise and purposeful, and the art is brilliant, this is a masterfully and lovingly crafter artwork, i wish i could give it more stars, this work trascend the label of yaoi and elevate it to so much more
an actually decent, dignified, insightful and self respecting female love interest, something really hard to come by in yaoi, and her character actually helped to put in evidence the underlaying sweetness and growth in their relationship, which was well hidden under a huge pile of pathetic, half assed and spiteful crap, i am glad i took the time to read this update
even thought the time in the island worked wonders in many of them and they are more than ready to face the harshness of japan"s society, many more could just crumble under the pressure, because many of the skills on which their new found confidence is built upon just wont translate in modern day japan, plus i could like for them to have the choice, i beliave they can be fulfilled in their small self suficient communist paradise heh
They could move to underpopulated Japan, rural areas and do the same thing. In fact, the gov't bemoaning the depopulation of non-city areas should cooperate with these folks and give them land in the abandoned rural areas. Hand them tools, seeds, etc, let them take over abandoned homes, and let them grow food and see what happens.
Sensei
made this manga under the presumption that her readers are familiar with the original work, if you are not of course the story will seem choppy at times, if you only give it this manga chance that it deserves you are up for a lovely read, the art its gorgeous and timeless, pretty spot on with the original physical description of its characters, and the translation was so lovingly done that is nothing short of astounding, the only reason the rating its so low is because the character design doesn't match the idealized looks of the characters in a TV series made years afterwards
