This was not half as good as "Ookami-kun wa kowakunai", don't @ me. There was this lingering feeling if betrayal throughout and the "there wasn't anything else we could have done at the time" felt like a huge cop-out.

Exactly. I just couldn't feel the seme's love. It felt like the uke had deeper feelings for the seme than the seme did. Even in the last chapter i couldn't feel any love between them. Just as you mentioned, there was this constant feeling of betrayal and doubt lingering in the back of my mind. I wish the author showed us more of the seme getting jealous or showing possessiveness or interest towards the uke. I mean heck, even though it was from the seme's perspective, i could only feel the uke's love rather than the seme's. It seemed more like lust on the seme's part and unrequited love on the uke. But atleast they're together now.
Also this is just my personal opinion but i hate this troupe of mc's (be it seme or uke) banging every living being in sight just because they were hurt or because they wanna 'annoy' their love interest. Like please have some standards and more self respect.
The most annoying part for me was the absolute of "there was NOTHING we could have done" really? Nothing? Because I can think of at least three solution that would include you not having sex with the first living thing with a hole that crossed you...
This is not an accurate representation of an occultist's behaviour. The rape and the torture seem plausible but everything else is so disorganized. I get the creepy twist but it was executed poorly and it was incredibly rushed.
Is there a single Alpha in this story's universe that is a complete and utter a$$hole? Who hurt them? I mean I got daddy issues too but they're taking it to an entirely different level.

I don't think it was anything other than a visual metaphor. Like he changed from that cute innocent guy to a demon ready to devour Ethan. I think the author was just trying to play on that the aura of Tristian has changed to WANT, NEED, MUST HAVE AT ALL COSTS.
I mean a lot of people were either surprised or disappointed by the aggressiveness. But like, did people miss the fact that he cut a dude's head off a few episodes ago!? ¯_ಠ_ಠ_/¯ Other than when he's fanboying over Ethan, he is pretty straight forward with his approach.

I feel like you have to think about it when Tristian is NOT around Ethan. Tristian is a badass! He's a fucking vampire slayer for a living. But when Tristian is around Ethan I feel like he gets nervous, b/c hey! this is his crush so that's normal! But I love when it actually came down to it he's not gonna let Ethan push him around. He is just as dominant as Ethan, if not, more so.
Power play of this sort, if it ends up being a small rivalry every time to determine who's on top, would be so hot and unique. Usually writers are more scared of switches than they are of sexual assault and that's just sad. But I'm keeping my hopes up if the Creator's insta is anything to go by.
