You should pick it up again lol. It’s actually a lot more simple and wholesome then you think, nothing really bad happens to anyone. They all receive happiness and find someone of their own. Even the prince.

i cannot understand your point of view but you should pick it up again. the plot is very easy and understandable. you must be a kid or have low reading comprehension if you cannot understand that. the mc doesn't end up with the prince for a reason. it's for the plot. both the prince and rowell ended up with the person they love and i think you should accept that. i also prefer the second lead over the male lead sometimes but not in this case. we didn't even have an in depth arc about the prince's feelings for rowell. we found out about his love for him and in the same chapter he gave up because rowell is happy, so i really wasn't even hoping that they'd end up together. dev just felt "weak" because he was a spinel and the fact that pels treat them like slaves, so technically they had no right and power in the society they lived in so it's automatic that they feel week and powerless. spoiler the prince freed the spinels after he was crowned as emperor soooooooo,,, dev doesn't really have to feel weak anymore and them being slaves was his only source of feeling weak and powerless. im so sorry for the long ass reply and i know for a fact that no one would even bother reading this but i just wanted to explain it to you lol.
