For the longest time I thought this was about a vampire cuz I thought Ga-In looked like a vampire and I thought he had red eyes on the cover. Then I finally read it lollll

Ummm. Okay so I liked the beginning of the story, but I feel like there was so much missed potential?

Like ok let's start with the brother. The story set him up to be kind of ominous, honestly. He did tell Taehyuk to just stop dealing with Hyo-Un if it was too much hassle. And he did suggest finding his mate. I could tell from that alone dude knew who the real mate was. But nothing he did was really too bad and nothing he said was really too wrong either. He was saying what Taehyuk was thinking anyway, that it was a dumb to keep hanging onto the dragon just for their family to be successful.

Then the past life got weird, cuz it revealed that weird incestuous obsession. So yes, past life him SUCKEDDD. But current day, he didn't do anything that bad. So I thought it was kinda messed up for Taehyuk to end up just cutting off their relationship based on their past lives. Like what will their family think when they have gatherings and Taehyuk never talks to his older brother?

Like the past life part ruined everything for me tbh. I'm sorry, I can't get past the fact that past-Taehyuk literally raised Hyo-Un. And yes, he's a dragon taking the form of a child and may not actually have been that young. But in Taehyuk's eyes, HE WAS. And he also had issues with it at first because he raised him from a kid. I was able to get past this part cuz I'm like whatever, fine. This past version isn't the current version, they're different people.

But then NO! Present Day Taehyuk CONVENIENTLY lost his memories of Hyo-Un for the sole purpose of getting replaced with past-life's memories! I mean yes, he did regain his present day memories too, but that's just what it feels like since he references his past-lfie memories first. Like Hyo-Un had a revelation of "IT WAS HIM ALL ALONG!" I thought Taehyuk would too! Like "Ohh, THAT'S why I kept looking at the dragon's portrait in my house." Or "I said I lied but it was the truth all along!" But no, nothing like that, cuz his character just got replaced by the past-version, with a few traits of his current version thrown in (his willingness to take initiative and flirt without embarrassment, specifically.) And yeah, his just cutting off his brother is proof of present day Taehyuk being erased imo. Similarly that last chapter of Hyo-Un becoming a kid again just for Taehyuk to chase him around again. Like bruh. Guess fallin for people who are like family is normal for the Yoo family, Taehyuk just like his brother lol

Also, present day Taehyuk had asked Hyo-Un to give up on the idea of his mate because he was jealous. I was hoping that would pop up, like him going "I'm me, though. Don't call me Sir or My Lord cuz it makes me jealous of the past self." Even if he does see himself as the past-self a little, that woulda been nice but noooo. Only had a little of that when he asked him to call him Taehyuk in return for being called Honey.

I really thought the story was cute but after them getting their memories back, I couldn't see it the same lol especially not with Taehyuk still talkin about raising him well.

Also, it's just funny that the guy who killed Taehyuk says how he cursed to have a sucky life and everyone involved was cursed to have a sucky life. But the King who was makin Taehyuk's life miserable also just had a great life in present day since he reincarnated back into the chaebol fam alongside Taehyuk and their sister lolol seriously justice for bro, he really didn't interfere much in their relationship smh.

OH AND ALSO. When Hyo-Un revives Taehyuk with the orb, the grim reaper or whoever that was warned him about hardships that came with doing that. What were the hardships? For Taehyuk, was it just his fever? Maybe amnesia? The attempted murder? Nah cuz I thought there'd be more on that. And also how the orb affected Taehyuk too, like did he get powers? Because when he got away from the evil spirits in the water, his pupil turned into a slit before returning to normal and he created a golden light. Like wth, I wanted to know what was up with that toooo!

TL;DR First half was good, I wasn't a fan of the second half.
