I had no hope for Lily since the early chapters bc who in their right mind confesses their love to one person and then another with just hours apart? Not to forget she chose Rose over Anna AFTER finding out that Rose was lying to her face the whole time? Like how dumb can you be?

Yes Bethany it is her fault. I wasn't loved by my family either yet I ain't going around like a b in heat, choosing a hoe I met for 3 days over my childhood friend and declaring my love to her mere hours after I told my friend I loved her. Also let's not forget how Lily was so eager to kiss Rose and visit Roses chambers before Anna rejected to be physical with her. Don't get me wrong I understand why she is acting this way but that doesn't mean I agree or have to like it.
The traumas and scars you have can tell a person WHY you are acting a certain way but they cannot excuse them.

Keep in mind that the story is a kind of fetish porn called ntr, and therefore Lily acts in a certain way so that you as a reader will get angry, and Anna has only one role. To suffer. Pointless story if you ask me.

This story really fails to convince us that Lily ever loved Anna, given how poorly she treats her. Throughout every chapter, Lily consistently mistreats Anna.
For instance, when Rose hides a letter from her father, Lily stays silent. When Rose badmouths Anna, she says nothing. But when Anna breaths it's wrong. She even blamed Anna for not being around when slept with Rose. Lily's is like a child blaming everyone else.
Yes I agree and yeah some ppl try so hard to convince me that Lily is just innocent and manipulated but let's be honest here yeah Rose did manipulate Lily and spun around stories but not everyone who did not feel familiar love is so eager to betray their love. There was no reason for Lily to visiting Roses chamber the first night, there was no reason to say I love you to Anna and then go say ily to Rose hours later, there was no reason for Lily to blame Anna for thinking that Lily did not love her, no reason for her to blame her for not intercepting when she herself was so willing to give herself to Rose. Alas I am not convinced that Lily loves Anna as much as Anna loves Lily
I can only assume this is due to bad writing. The author doesn't seem to know how to craft a compelling story and that she actually meant for us to care about Lily and Anna.
Whether this ends as an NTR story or a typical romance, the audience needed to be invested in Anna and Lily's relationship. However, no one seems to care about Lily, and most believe Anna deserves better. You're right; Lily was scared away by the orgy, otherwise she would have cheated on the first night.

This is easily one of my favorite mangas. The ending was so sad but also bitter sweet. To think that out of all the hashiras only two would survive breaks my heart. Especially seeing Shinobu and Kanroji die. I'm sure the final movies closing this final arc will be awesome.
