And I may love gl, but I don't really read much gl manhwas partly because of the bed scenes. I mean yes, stone tops are a thing but it's always the same thing in every gl manhwa that i have read. Bl may still be unrealistic but I am seeing more diverse representation (???) of sexual roles (??? dunno if it's the right term since I'm not a native english speaker). Gl manhwas really do need to step up their game in terms of these, in my opinion.

I agree, seems like the GL fanbase focuses less on sex and sex roles. And as someone who mostly reads BL and is getting into GL, sex roles in GL so far seem a lot more fluid to me. It's different from BL which typically has a top and bottom who never switch their roles (an aspect of the genre I find really tiring). So I'm wondering what OP is talking about, maybe they have a different perspective on things
