First im disappointed with the fact that qui tong would say something like, especially after she kissed her? So im not surprised that sun jing didnt show up, cause the implicatiom that because she’s gay she’s a predator is fucked overally, but coming from her crush is so soul-crushing. But no! Apparently she’s not gay apparently she “only likes Qui tong” which is basically just saying “I am only gay for you “. Am i the only one who is tired of this fucking trope being used in gay manga? Maybe they’re trying to make it seem more romantic but I just comes off as kind of really homophobic and unrealistic to me. Can’t we just have a nice manga about two girls who know that they’re gay and are trying to date each other? And im aware that this “just a manga” so take this lightly. Rant over.
Anyone else kinda disappointed with this chapter in terms of how easily Shell turned back to his normal self? I feel like the last chapter really dramatized how drastic the pill's effect is and then a second later everything was saved by the predicted almighty hero. (Doesn't mean Im not happy that Shell's alive though)
Eric released his pheromones which are a cure. Jack even said you have complete control of your pheromones now when he was curing Shell
Eric used his pheromones to overpower the red death. You see Eric/Shell surrounded by a blue smoke (his pheromones) and even Jack realizes partway through his gloat that Shell was toast that all of the red death had been counteracted. And he even said that Eric had finally learned to control his pheromones
No, I understand completely how/why it happens (that's easy ^^) , that's not really what I have a problem with, and its not a huge problem either. I'm not talking about the story, I'm critiquing the way it was presented to us.
I just wish we actually saw through someone closer to the action's POV. Eric's POV when he unlocked control. Shell's when it stopped. I don't mind but it just felt a bit detached and 'well ok then' with Jack catching glimpses for us.
Like from Shell's perspective we could of see the hallucinations then felt warm arms around us, and then felt the phenomes. And he could of described it better for us, how it felt etc.
Jack being defeated was the finale and focus of that moment, helping Shell was just put on the backburner. This does work and Ican see why the creator chose to do it this way. But it's just not what I would of personally gone for, I think that it kind of deserved more attention and detail than it got.
But like I said, it's not that big a problem, the story still works fine, it's just my personal opinion.
Too bad then next one will take another 3 months
