Is it just me or these side chapters about Tak and Sanho are taking a lot of chapters than necessary?

Yes, and usually side stories take less than 10 chapters, (sometimes more, but each chapter is short). It's rare to have a long side stories like this. And if it's this long, it's better that the side characters should have their own book instead.

The whole story was a rollercoaster ride! At one chapter you are overflowed by the love of simon and conor and at the next chapter you want to buy a gun to shoot all the people who hurt them

Conor and Simon's love made me hope for great love, one that is greater than the despair of the world, and one that is beyond the eyes of the people.
