A lot of Sang Woo fans think that if we hate the ship it automatically means that we hate the manhwa. Wrong. I love it, I'm addicted to it. And I love that it doesn't try to glorify the relationship or glorify Sang Woo - unlike what his stupid fans are doing.
And secondly, please cut the crap about how it's only fiction and therefore we should be ok when you worship a character who breaks legs, strangles, drowns and slices and humiliates. And that too, a character you worship only because you find him handsome. If he were ugly you wouldn't ship this pairing and you wouldn't squeal over Sang Woo.
If anything, the real fans are the ones who recognise how disgusting this ship is and that this relationship is meant to be a study in psychological horror, not something to be avidly shipped.
Thank you!
I get frustrated of that defense when it's so clear the message they are portraying and internalizing is, "if you are hot, all is FORGIVEN".
What if the author drew this fiction of psychlogical study/ exploration to let ourselves psychologically study ourselves?!
MIND=BLOWN
YESSSS THANK YOU! GOSH
Well, I agree the assumption is unwarranted. And if you want to disguss Sangwoo's faults, I'm all for that too. Personally, I think he's the type of smiling BSing character I hate the most (next to Kuze in Caste Heaven) but I like the story too. And I understand some readers really like Sangwoo, and that's okay too.
I think for some reason the emotions run high on this and related issues in the fandom, so I think insults just make it worse. I don't see why people can't enjoy the story in different ways.
I don't think there's a need to clamp down on this level of shit talking since the other side also shit talks about people concerned as well with dismissive remarks. It's the comment section. Anything goes. Let shit talking reign
Am I the only one who loves this manhwa to pieces because of the psychological themes and lovely art - but isn't rooting for them to be a couple? Like seriously. From physical torture to emotional abuse, Sang Woo leaves no stone unturned. I want a dramatic ending where Yoon Bum escapes and Sang Woo is killed.
This manga is beautiful. Why the hell should you complain and expect that a woman would automatically want to be uke? What's the point of her rebirth if you keep forcing limited options on her? And cut the sexist crap about how woman = uke. A mangaka dares to try the untested and you all start whining. Expecting a woman to "naturally be uke" is like expecting that it's "natural" for a guy to be seme, hence implying that male ukes are unnatural.
If you force your disgusting heternormative stereotypes on a beautiful yaoi manga and start shaming/hating on a woman reborn as a seme, please fuck off and go read shoujo. Since you find it so unnatural that a woman might want to be seme, best that you stick to your stereotypical romances.
True story:
even adult toy store attendants can sometimes be biased as well... i unfortunately came across one such example.
my boyfriend has always known that i'm a hardcore fujoshi, and one conversation led to us researching RL anal (not magical yaoi ones), and well... let's just say it's soo damn complicated. one website wrote that because of all the prep work and precaution work a lot of people gay/straight/otherwise tend to just not do anal sex too often (not like yaoi when it's every time you see a bed and many times when you don't even).
sorry for the tangent.
my boyfriend, bless his heart, still wanted to go ahead and so we went to an adult toy shop and bought all sorts of things (the hygiene part we bought on line, but the play part we thought it'd be best to handle the goods real time).
first, the attendant was like: is it for the lady?
my bf said: no for me.
attendant (to my bf): oh you're a sub?
(why did the first thing this guy assume is that my bf surely must be a sub to take it up the ass?)
my bf: not really, we're vanilla only that she (points at me) is a yaoi freak. i got curious.
attendant to me: oh so you're one of those f*g hags? (he made a grimace)
(eh who says that any more?)
to the attendant's defense, he looks really young... like maybe his eyes are not yet open to the facts of the world.
What did that last line mean? There won't be a second time? Will Kazu leave Kidaka now?
I thought it was Kidaka who said it... He felt Kazu staring at him and knew that Kazu was wondering what if it happens again or something.. and then Kidaka called Kazu dummy and reassured him that there won't be a second time where he will break up with Kazu. Kazu's face looked relieved at the end... and said that the nightmare is over.
Fans be like, "Die bitch, you must suffer for being mean to Yoon Bum!"
And then 0.05 seconds later, "Sang Woo is such a sexy naughty daddy I want him to have his way with me."
(Please spare me your justifications.)
right?
i mean obviously the cute girl is gonna die but she doesn't deserve to, even if she was a nasty bitch. nobody deserves to die lmao bl fans r crazy sometimes
I don't like Jieun, but I agree that no one deserves to die. Don't generalize everyone as BL fans. And don't assume they all have that kind of attitude
Well that's the beauty of it ! The whole thing is written to make people see this world through the eyes of the two psycho so if they don't like the girl, the readers aren't suppose to, well of course you can still have an opinion as a sane person but immersing one self in the experience and identifying with the two psycho is a lot easier and interesting for the fan-girls who hope to identify with character in love even if, or maybe even more so, these characters are psychos ; to feel special or hotter once the sex scenes come (haha).
Plus I have to admit the experience is rather nice, cathartic even ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~ .
you're very on point!!!~ the author had designed the girl to be unlikable, bless and kudos to those who still liked her despite that. and sangwoo is a very interesting protagonist, he is a complex character. (rather than basing the like for sangwoo because of his 'hotness) i think when reading killing stalking we should also immerse ourselves within the depth of the plot and underlying concepts, not just on the superficial side. we knew he was a murderer from the start i dont think he will be stopping soon╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
and pet lovers be like: We like dogs and cats because they are cute, fury and have big eyes big eyes.
and then .05 seconds later: Damn I'm hungry. I want to eat a hamburger.
Just as if cows don't have fur and eyes.
I mean it's almost like people like and dislike stuff based on emotion and personal taste in stead of external logical standards.
(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
Strangling, hanging, drowning, slicing, cutting, beating, maiming, blackmailing, humiliating are personal tastes, huh? Thanks.
In fiction, yes. These are just characters in a story. It's not the same as real life.
but a lot of them do tho
why r u so defensive it's not like i attacked u personally chill your gay porn comics don't rly matter that much
The "it's just fiction" argument is so old and rotten it should be dead in a ditch somewhere. I'm assuming then that it's totally ok for people to have massive crushes on fictional characters who exactly look and behave like Donald Trump and you wouldn't judge them in the slightest for it.
To each their own. Some people say he's a great man.
It's not "just fiction" honey, it's okay to be transported by a work as a mental experiment. Nothing wrong with fantasizing.
Donald ? You do realize people fantasize on much worse than this douchebag wright ? Like Killing-kun here of if we talk about real people you do know many murderers still alive and in prisons have admirers who sends them their undying love and panties ? And well I won't judge people for being sick or having weird and wrong fantasies as long as they realize it and get help/do not mistake them for reality. Don't kinkshame people because they fantasize about being raped or humiliated (although in that particular case go ahead they mght get off on it
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ ) whatever gives them the hots
ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~.
I personally have a huge thing for non-consensual bondage and forced orgasms, but I don't really wish it to anybody nor will I start tying people up without their consent any time soon.
Hahahahaha jokes aside, the same people who go "it's just fiction" would instantly boycott someone who had the same feelings about a Trump like character.
Well no... To each their own ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍ .
Eh, I don't like bringing politics or political figures into a discussion unless it is a conversation about politics. People get too hostile about that. Let's leave it at to each their own.
Yes. It would be totally okay. In fact, I would much prefer it if Trump were a fictional character.
