Why do people do these things and say that they're in the name of love?
Love can never hurt.
Love never lies.
Love never deceives.
Love never cheats.
Love is always loyal.
Love is never selfish.
Love plays fair.
What doesn't, isn't love. It's obsession. It's their desire to hold on to something no matter what for their own selfish reasons. They treat the person as if it's an object. They put on a show about how much they are there for them but it's all fake. Everything is so fake in this world.

I could never express these kind of things for fear of being pegged a hopeless romantic, but after maturing a bit, I’ve realized anyone who claims this line of thinking is naive, just wants a fallback for when they do something morally gray. Your comment’s poetically true, and thank you for sharing it :)

That phase in a relationship when you feel like the other person is losing all interest in you and is slowly drifting apart from you is so beyond painful. It's like you can feel your entire world crumbling and you don't even know what happened so that you could save it. Nothing you do works. All you're left with is a shell of the great love they had for you. I'm in that stage right now with someone. I wish I could also go back to the past and see that person. I have so much to say to him but it's too late.
I wish my husband was like him
