This story sorta parallels Razoku no Hanayome. I rrally liked the art and the sort of appreciation for history. Idk what might've inspired this but yea. The author's sorta got a great blend of smut and story in their works
I didn't expect to love this the way I did. That feeling of having Hakdo still like his childhood friend and Sanho being accepting of that is one of my favorite plotlines in BL. I think it's pretty realistic too. It reminds of Yokozawa and Kirishima's dynamic from sekaiichi hatsukoi, where Kirishima says that he can't hold Takafumi's first love against him because that's already a part of him and they're just gonna have to fall in love again, with each other. And that theme is sort of explored here too in the way Sungho chose his cigarette and Hakdo liked hawaiian pizza.
The only thing I would change is the length. I felt like I breezed past the story. Or maybe even just a couple lovey dovey one shots here and there. Still one of the best I've read though ヾ(☆▽☆)
It's perfectly fine if it's someone else's cup of tea but really I think Asuza forcing Kaede to be his mate shouldn't have been a part of this at all. That made it feel icky. Though, I would have left all that behind if he were properly redeemed but really the main thing that made Kaede not want to break their bond is his persistence to not become someone like his father, which he wouldn't have btw because he was forced into it. Or maybe he wasn't and I'm missing something? Yeah, Asuza needed to be redeemed more or at least we could have seen Kaede's developing feelings for Asuza better for me to be able to root for them in this conflict. But as it stands I think they should take some time apart lols. I liked the OmegaSeme X AlphaUke concept though
