bc she was a housewife before and it's really difficult to find a stable job if you've been out of the job market for extended periods of time, and we don't know if she had proper qualifications to get a job that would earn enough for the both of them (which includes a schoolgoing child).
we don't know if she had any family to rely on either. so, financially unstable and possibly mentally unstable as well. so, her choice is understandable, NOT justifiable but still understandable (as in, i can kinda see why she did what she did)
i can see why she thought about taking inwoo with her when she learnt that her shitty ex was hitting their son contrary to her beliefs... which she should have even if she "killed" that bitch and was "on the run" but ig there's no point in talking about the what ifs now that the damage's already done
