Odeth acted like a real idiot. She knows Bastian's temper yet her blind selfishness spoke louder than her intelligence. Of course, this will create a violent reaction when the guy finds out. I'm not in favor of the abuse she'll suffer at his hands,
but let's face it, she brought this on herself by ruining Bastian's efforts, investments and patience to see justice done for his mother's murder and the abuse he suffered during his childhood. She could have given him a vote of confidence and denounced the blackmail, but no. All for the drama.
