I perfectly understood where you are coming from. In my 38 years i have read a lot of stories with all kind of characters. I see what the author is doing here, but the execution is just wrong. You can write a ruthless character, yes, but Alexei seems more like a 12 y.o thats throwing a tantrum. The characters just behave weird. It also doesnt help that the panels dont 'connect'.
I think the author needs to work more on the storyboard and final execution. The art is fine though.
