Jiho is trying real hard here, might not be the perfect solution, but he's trying to do what he knows best and he wants to be there for Inwoo.
I wanna hear what Inwoo thinks about this, because it's all pretty sudden. But looking at it on a different angle, JiHo is probably waiting for Inwoo to be more comfortable opening up about his family to him. Idk.
I wish the author did the internal monologues for Inseob early on. Like i want to root for this character yk, i want him to have a good ending. But it's hard because all we see is him being dragged along and hurt and not fighting back and we don't even know what he thinks most of the time. Just a bit of his internal conflict could've helped.
And yeah, i read the novel. I got so invested in this story but the manhwa feels a bit lacking. It's probably just me. Idk. This recent Chapter is good though, this is what i was hoping for the manhwa. It felt like it just caught up with the how the novel is.
This episode is like a punch in the gut. But i'm glad the author took it this way. It's such an important part of inwoo's character, the conflict he had with his past.
Irl, it's not easy to resolve. It's trauma from years and years that becomes ingrained to you as a person and you don't even know that your responses come from a place of hurt and pain. Inwoo probably isn't comfortable talking about his past yet. Hence, the misunderstanding.
JiHo can't be blame as well, since he's coming from a place of concern. It just didn't translate well because it's not what inwoo needs right now. What worked for you, may not work for your partner.
Coming from personal experience, constant communication and therapy may help. I wonder how they will resolve this.
Ahhh. I was actually rooting for them but not this way. They have a potential to be on a spin-off or side stories. What's the rush? ╥﹏╥
