I wanted to start reading this but i was wondering if i need to read the oneshot first or if that takes place during the main story

I went ahead and read them and I would read the oneshot first. All the world building stuff is re-explained again in the first chapter, but i think the one shot came out before the main story anyways.
There was a scene where they went on a school trip i believe and and at some point person A sleepily went to sleep with person B in his futon and one of the other students took a picture of them snuggled up together i think. Ik this is very vague but if anyone has an idea that would be amazing. (￣∇￣")
