I used to really like this. But I stopped reading this after the ML decided to fuck his relationship with Eugene up. I just can’t seem to like him again after that. Is it just me?

It seems that the ML does not trust Eugene enough. Because his hatred for prophets outweighs the bond they formed together thus far. He didn’t even give Eugene the chance to explain himself. I thought that he really likes Eugene by that point of the story. But I guess it doesn’t mean much.

I understand that the ML has trauma related to prophets. So I also understand him feeling betrayed when he learned that Eugene is one. But I don’t get why he suddenly turned to Eugene just like that. Are his feelings that shallow towards Eugene?

And now, reading the comments to see if this is worth reading again. I saw that they seem okay now. And that the ML is obsessed again with Eugene. Did they even have a serious conversation about what happened? Or did they just talk about it a little like it’s not a big deal, and it’s all good? Did he even apologize to Eugene for the way he treated him?

It feels like the ML got off pretty easy, without having to work to earn his way back to be with Eugene.

I keep reading the ML’s name as “Scoundrel” for some reason. Might be because I’m sleep deprived? But how do you pronounce his name? Sour-a-del? Sou-ra-del? Help! Lol
