I hate myself for this but I really like this seme. I like his character design, that he shows emotion, he cares for the uke, and he will get down a dirty. It just the stuff I been reading lately the tops show no emotion, barely any forplay for the bottom and I think it started to get to me. BUT why the rape, why did it start out like that, why do we still have this trope in manga. I’m so tired of it.
Re-reading this after so many year I can finally understand the complexity of this manga. Here are some of my new take away from it now
1 . It still bug me that Klaus never takes off his pant when they are having sex. Bugs me back then still bugs me now.
2. I never realized how young Taki was. He barely 20 and in his first ever relationship, Klaus is 26, I thought he was way older and they have only been in this relationship for maybe 6-7 months. Now being older then both characters I have a better understand of why the do the thing they do. When I first read this I was 16 and I realize a lot of things went over my head.
3. Klaus is not the bad guy in this relationship, did he do bad things yes. But he not the reason why their relationship is falling apart Taki has a big part to play in that. With is inability communicate anything to Klaus to the point it where he emotionally abuse him. Think about, Klaus is separate from everything he knows and loves with nothing to his name the only person he truly knows is Taki and all of a sudden he start to grow cold and distant with him. Every time he try to get close with Taki or get him to talk he pushes Klaus away. So I understand why he is getting mad and get forcefully with Taki. I believe is that Taki really didn’t want to have sex he could have stop it, he is stronger then he looks and that was shown to us in the manga. I think he lets it happen as a form of self-punishment for being a “bad” lover and not being the person he used to be when they were at the academy together. This upset Klaus more because this is not what he wanted, he just wants Taki to smile at him and talk to him like he used to. Klaus just wants to be lovers and doesn’t want to hurt Taki again.
There is so much more I can add to this with the war that on going, Taki position and being almost a living god that need to stay pure and so on. I am open to your thought and opinion on this very complex story and what your take away is. I do have to say all the time jump and the way the story stop and start made it hard to understand what happing at times and where you are at in the time line and what going on. So I do hope that some they fix in the new version and that we finally get to see that ending I truly do hope for a happy one where they can just be together.
Honestly i had the same feelings re-reading this series again and there are s o many intricacies i missed when i read this when i was younger. The new rebooted volumes were also such a joy. This is by far one of the best and most complex yaoi mangas out there and truly so much is given with the plot
I’m so confused, was he raped? How much time passed from when he was kidnapped till he was rescued? It cut up so much with all the back stories I can’t keep up with the events.

I wonder if the king already has a child? Given that we see an imagine of a kid starting the chapter. Maybe no one mention a kid because he was sent away because he born out of wed lock. Do you think that possible?
I think the child at the beginning was the king and his father was telling him what he's about to tll salphie
But if he did have a kid, I think Salphie would accept the kid
I hate the main girl name because it means large house in French. I wish she had a prettier name. I also wonder the mangaka bother even to look up what the word meant or just heard it and thought it was cute and that was it.
Doesn't it mean castle? I think it suits her, sorta stylish. Even then I dont think it's a big deal but I also don't think Chateau would want a 'pretty' name
I think it might mean sth.. And it's not even her name, or a person's name, so I guess it's a clue

I think there a chapter missing. I remember reading this on MRM and there was an extra about Shawn coming back from a hockey game and having a long honey to-do list. I think it was set a few years in the future and they even had a dog together.
