Oh god! I don't want this to end! ╥﹏╥

Spoilers y'all!

There are two ending.Of which only one feels real, and yes, ends in a tragedy. The other basically is the author's way of consoling the crybabies.

    I'm one of those crybabies.

    Spoilers again! July 4, 2017 7:16 am

Actually I AM a 'crybaby' as you so indelicately put it and the alternative ending is what MADE me cry. Hmm.

See, read along with the alternative ending, in the original ending it's then implied that Jae Ha and Yeon-Ho had not met up with each other until that appointed time. Which means that if they HAD met earlier like in the alternate ending/split timeline they would have been happy together. Which means that both Yeon Ho and Jae Ha were making attempts to not change the timeline too much yet were unhappy precisely because of those efforts. Therefore the alternative ending is what is too bittersweet. Thanks.

Finally I may be a crybaby yet that's WHY I PREFER the original ending...? It was an 'atonement' (of sorts) for the 'sins' they BOTH committed. And they still got to see each other at least.

Calm down, hothead. It's just my point of view. I believe we can agree that the whole story was beautiful and the ending, though tragic, was a fitting one. The only reason one would want to go for the alternate end, would be because they couldn't handle the tragedy.Which, again, is not a criticism.

It just means that they would rather choose to disregard the happenings of the previous chapters, in exchange for having our couple happy and well.'Crybaby' is not meant as an insult to anybody. It's a just a fond expression for those of us who would rather prefer a Happily Ever After.

I'd like to think after years of English literature classes, semesters of literary interpretation of texts, poems, prose, novels, novellas, short stories and dramas, I am versed enough to interpret this particular storyline and draw the conclusions myself. Thank you for your assistance in trying to do so for me, but it is not required.

I certainly hope my words are delicate enough to your liking, this time around.

How are they funding these trips though? Where are they getting all the money from?
Also,14 and 20? Really?

    Anonymous March 19, 2017 4:13 pm

Ikr... That last part was just so weird and cliche, yaoi was a mistake :/

    Yaoi Fan April 22, 2017 6:35 pm

Well, I think Iori has savings because he is a famous surgeon, and he has been working hard all the time, in Japan and in the U.S.

    1<3 April 23, 2017 4:31 am

I meant the kids.Certainly it must not be Iori who funded them.Neither do I think that the parents shelled the money out.Although a wonderful story, I feel the author did not think the ending through.

    Yaoi Fan April 23, 2017 5:25 pm

I guess it must be their parents; because the parents give them permission to go on the trip, the parents should provide the funding too.

Yeah, I see what you mean, 1<3. The ending could be more realistic and well thought out. Like what happens to Tomoya's wife and daughter? I still feel bad for them. Did he get a divorce? I assume he did, in the one-year period of absence. But like you said, it's still a wonderful story. I really love this doctor series. :D

I know! Tbh, I'm pretty sure this is my 6th or 7th time reading it! :D

    Ha ha, that's cool! :)

I just had a major thought. This is just a speculation, but maybe tae min isn't dead, but rather in a coma.It makes sense then, Si woon's comment about being patient and to open his eyes.Maybe he did die, but was later revived and ended up in a coma instead.
