Read the latest chapters and MC is actually so sad. She literally wanted to die and give up on the game :''') The whole story is dramatic but her despair really hit home for me in the goblet scene. She doesn't even feel anything anymore. It's just hopeless apathy. Or being angered to death.

I actually see myself saying those.

Damn...Charles and Sam were good for each other until his insecurities started acting up. It would be so refreshing if Charles started getting better instead of making a turn for the worse in his relationship with Sam. I dislike how webtoons and manga always tend to portray the divorcees and people who have been in bad relationships as toxic to themselves and others and just ending it like that. It's not an 'I can fix him' thing that I want but it would be good to show that even broken people can be healed and find trust in a relationship with someone better and love again.
And damn. I did like Monica and Marshall. I don't believe that common interests are that important to a relationship. I know many people who don't share them and are happily married. They had good chemistry and got each other as well, but just were honest with each other a bit late. But it would've worked out... if the main couple weren't endgame.
Sighs. It's so obvious who the main couple are. But I have to go and get attached to Charles. Really wish this would end with Sam and Marshall as platonic soulmates or best friends instead. And I believe if the couples weren't stated in stone at the start, Monica x Marshall and Sam x Charles would've made it. And would've been great with room for growth and tell a different kind of story.
Like how it's ok for two people to step away from each other and get to know their other sides again.
And how it's ok to learn to trust someone after getting hurt, and help each other grow confident in relationships and in life. Charles was always upfront about what he expects from Sam so he isn't exactly a manipulator. I don't put him in the same category as those typical toxic broken assholes. But seeing the end of season three makes me sad knowing how it will go down. He's gonna become all possessive like those typical characters in webtoons I just know it...
It's a good story but damn if the author didn't make me care for the initial pairs too much I now can't change ships even knowing the endgame all along.

Damn it I was just going through the LN trying to find where the manga left off at. Think it was vol. 7-8? Well, it turned out the manga at c68 is only at vol.4 of the 12 cn novels. And goddamn it, the first few words I read are a HUGE ASS SPOILER about a character I'm so upset right now...

Big spoiler. Seriously. It's not too late to turn back now...you know that one red flag where the MC says if ever she commits a mistake big enough to get her killed and she'd rather choose death by poison than execution? Think about what kind of mistake she will have to make...

I already knew the spoilers and went to read it anyway. The novel is longer and gives more context into their thoughts so it does not feel as rushed, though their relationship does start out toxic (but I can read this kinda shit).
Anyway, <SPOILERS> for all its dogblood moments, it has a morbid appeal cause it's so damn rare to find one where the MC goes from being a top to a bottom (yea I wish it weren't from rape too).
But what really caught me offguard was how it oddly gave me knives in two non-romantic instances. When the MC is scammed of his company's shares and is forced to give it up to his brother by his father, he tells his father he's willing to on one condition that they all move out of the house. Cause his mother had suffered enough losing her husband to a mistress and then losing her life and he doesn't want to lose the room she brought him up in to the mistress and his brother any longer cause they disgust him too much after what happened.
Another is after his psycho brother rapes him, and he just goes off alone leaving the ML and his bro behind. He reaches one of his friend/fling's houses but no one is at home. It's new year's eve and he just gives up and goes to sleep, when someone rings the doorbell and calls him 'brother'. He's on edge cause of the rape but of all people it turns out to be his cousin returned from the military, who thanks him for sending him there for it made him a better person.
I don't know why but these 2 scenes just stuck with me. Like finding something surprisingly emotional and non-dogblooded in a story that's clichéd and toxic yet a guilty pleasure.
Also, author is the same one who wrote Wu Chang Jie, I'm dead.

Ok, but does the MC end up living a happy life… or.. not, like what happens to him after the cousin returns, like does he work hard to make another business, since he did work really hard in his father’s business, to, like, make his father’s business go broke. Also, what happened to the MC’s brother, does he do a good job in the company, or does he fail.(like he should, he’s shit 凸) And what happens to the ML does he still love, or like , the MC, does he go back to the MC, or does he end up being with someone else?

Sorry, that this is so long, but this are questions that are keeping me up at night.

    Spoiler alert

It has happy ending. MC ends up with ML . I don’t know what you mean by the cousin returned but his cousin came to visit him when he’s in kinda low mental stage after being r worded by his half-brother, and he also lost his company to his half-brother. So his cousin come as a visit and cheer up a bit. And his company is not related to his father (but his relatives including his father have shares in his company). His father has his own company as mentioned in novel which is not related to his current company. He built this company by himself at age 21 or 22 (don’t remember exactly) but their relatives did depend on this company as part of their earnings. Regarding whether he performed well or not is unsure but MC did bring most of hid executive levels employees from his old companies with him as these are his people kinda and they question the capabilities of hal-bro who is now known for back stabbing nature so they quit from the old company and follow MC. ML realized he did like him only after he had completely left him and he chased him back by any means lol~ that’s ittt

I still prefer Carsein, but...thinking about it logically, the one scene where Aristia realised the prince in her new life is a different person now compared to the past...I don't think he can be faulted for the crimes the previous 'him in a past life' committed, and even those horrible things he did were all manipulated (wasn't he literally drugged and losing his mind?). In fact, isn't he always on her side later on in her second life?

Think about it. It's different if he were the same person and she decides to forgive him but here, they are reborn and he has no memories of his past. Isn't a person who is reborn a completely new person in that sense? If someone has killed in another universe, another lifetime, and is born as a baby again in another life and world where none of the tragedies have happened, where they have no motives or capacity to do evil in this life, isn't the person then considered innocent? Else going by opposite logic Ruve is still a criminal the moment he was reborn as a baby and should be hanged immediately. Also, we all might as well all be never-acquitted criminals if reincarnation were real on an infinite loop and at some point in our past lives we committed murder. At least that's the logic I'm applying.

Unpopular opinion here but that scene sold it for me. I guess it's easy to keep on hating the guy for all the bad things he did at the start minus the big reveals that will turn everything on its head, and ignore everything else that's building his and Aristia's relationship later on. The funny and perhaps the best thing is I did hate him at the beginning too. But I feel that the author did fully redeem, or more like rebuild and reveal his true character from the warped portrayal we were given at the beginning.

Maybe it's cause I like reading how the most unlikeliest pairings come together in the end, that I'm more open to this. I'd actually give more props to the author for being able to turn around a relationship 180 by showing that the truth isn't what it seems and, how the pairing, after a long and painful journey, finally get the good ending they were rightfully supposed to have. I think she set out to write a story where the fake MC stole and twisted everything and how the real MC goes through a growing process herself and truly establishes a mutually supportive relationship with the ML in her second chance, free of external tragic manipulations and misunderstandings. It's like reading a True Route after getting all the Bad Ends in an otome game. I think she wanted to write that kind of story and in that sense she did a good job, so I don't get the threats. It's quite sad that the very first chapter seals the hatred for the prince no matter what the rest of the story reveals.

I'm only disappointed that Allen got shoehorned into the yandere role. And Aristia never developed more feelings for Carsein, who is the reader's version of the best ML given he does nothing wrong to the MC at all and has always been there for her as well. I remember reading this saying that the main ML is for the MC and the second ML is for the readers. Welp, Carsein can come to us then.

Oh my, didn't know that there was someone who thinks like me
    (=・ω・=)
If you think back, the real culprit was Allens father who wanted to separate Tia and the prince so she can marry his eldest son. So technically he should be despised and shunned ^^

I always feel a little sad and funny when a Story ends after so long. I think you described it wonderful (●'◡'●)ノ

...And how till now manga readers will still be clueless as to who the true ML is at the end of S1. I swear if someone keeps updating the cover with whoever is frontline in the running I will laugh my ass off.
But seriously, pink bro started out as the guy I hated most and later on became a fav.

I remember looking up spoilers and found this very insightful analysis on the different types of love the MLs symbolize in the novel. Blog is in korean but I google translate works fine in english. For those of you that know the spoiler for Eclise, maybe reading this will make the author's intention understandable.

Ending spoilers beware!!
