The ml is shit with no redeeming qualities. . .also the world building of this story revolves around the community who discriminates against homosexuality, for some reason.
And I have no idea what the ml is trying to pull here. He is not portrayed as some kind of slow-witted shit, so I think he's emotionally manipulating the mc, taking advantage of his weakness. Liberating the fact that they are childhood friends.
He seems to plan to monopolize the mc for the rest of his life.
But regardless of how this story ends, the mc will end up with the ml. It feels kind sucks.

Welp, pretty sure he does. But I also heard from the raws that the ml continued being a shit towards the mc even when they got to college. And the mc finally got tired of receiving such kind of treatment from the ml and eventually gave up on him. It felt kinda satisfying knowing that, tbh. Hopefully, that'll be where the redemption arc for the ml begins.

It happens in a lot of mangas and I dont wanna think bad but Did Naru feel fraternal or romantic love toward his stepbrother? And Mei said so when he says if this is cause he's his brother's son. Naru is not blood related to Mei. I think he was the son of the mistress from a previous relationship (I think - gonna have to go back and re-read it - but for sure not related). Naru seems to feel both fraternal and romantic love for Mei (convo with friend from other manga), but is determined to be his uncle - Naru wants family. We don't know for sure what Naru felt for Mei's dad, but it could go either way. I think it's fraternal - admiration and love for an older sibling... hero worship in there as well? There was a big age gap between them... This last chapter, I think, got the ages wrong - Naru was telling a story about being in uni abroad and meeting with his brother, then said that Mei was 2, but previously we saw Naru in high school when Mei was trying to tie the prayer to the tree...

No problem. I was very uncomfortable with it when Naru said he was Mei's uncle (incest is a big no) but it didn't have a tag for that so I kept going, then the friend asked Naru if he was going to tell Mei that they weren't blood related.
