Gosho did say that he's working on the final arc already. The chapters release is not as often to make sure that he gets enough rest in between (he really does a thorough research and there's also the other media that he has to oversee such as anime, movies, etc).

Yeah I understand the stress that mangakas go through T_T I meant in a way that he can just do a "take down of the BO" arc and finally complete his life's work to not be stressed anymore ˋ▽ˊ I hope he is doing well, I love all his works

Sorry I can't remember the details exactly cuz I was fed up from the MTL and just speed read the novel #－.－)
But I think the seme fell in love with the uke since high school but didn't act on his feelings and just went to Canada.
The uke later realized that he was gay and loved the seme too But the seme didnt believe him. But he still confessed though, kinda like " whenever your feelings to me are genuine and your not confused I'll jump you" situation
Anyway the uke liked the seme but loved him more when he realized that the seme was the stranger that told him to not runaway and go back to his mom. Cuz the uke hated his mom he ran away and was planning on starting life somewhere else I don't remember

So after the uke beat up the class presidents brother(who BTW is the cause of what happened to the boy) and after like the uke gets his turn of holding the boys hand and telling him that he'll always be by his side, the boy woke up. So it was kinda anticlimactic, the boy woke up without any memories and that's it, they covered the boys pov in just 1 chapter and then he was forgotten and the romance between the uke and seme started
