Just recently finished the novel. Gonna have a big hole in my heart after reading their story. The main story is pretty long so Imagine it’ll be years before the manhua is finished. Def recommend the novel!

Just finished reading the web novel for this. It's actually a very long story that took a day and a half to read and was very well written. Spoilers ahead.

I can't believe how well the author managed to make me like MC and Garon (ML) being together by the end despite how awful Garon had been for most of the story. He doesn't entirely redeem himself necessarily, but you feel his utter devotion to the MC. He would rather die himself than do something that would harm the MC by the middle/end of the novel. He’s crazy about the MC in a way that is almost scary… he would feed the MC his flesh if the MC asked him to—this isn’t me exaggerating, he literally tries to. The MC feels guilt and anguishes about his mother’s death and the circumstances of how he knows Garon, but… I can’t explain it. You just like them together by the end. It’s a helpless kind of love, even after separation they’re the only ones for each other. Garon wants MC to change him and MC really is. He thinks endlessly about the name he wants to give MC. He finds an old painting the MC’s late father painted despite how unpopular the MC‘s father’s paintings actually were and gifts it to the MC without ever making a big deal about it—the painting is just there one day. He wears down the cheap pipe the MC gives him by using it everyday and taking it everywhere. He gives his life up just to be with the MC.

About Raon (second ML)… I’ll say, yes, he does force himself on the MC (never going all the way—though I think he would have if it weren’t for his knowledge of the poison) and actually has a covetous, perverted way of thinking and speaking, but really that’s not the worst thing about him. Personally, the fact that he knew the MC when he was 16 and was attracted to him is the creepiest part. He didn’t kill the MC’s mom, which I know some people thought he did.

Raon does get his time with the MC, so for people who like him you’ll get to see them in sexual situations (but they never go far since the MC can’t get hard with him and Raon knows about the poison) as well as living together for a month or so.

It’s very obvious before MC and Garon separate, though, that Garon is the one who loves MC more. Garon would let his love for the MC destroy him, but Raon wouldn’t. That’s what my main takeaway was from their different dynamics.

MC’s painter friend, Naro, lives by the end, btw. Garon brings him to MC long after MC thought he might be dead. Garon’s three guards all become more important in the special chapters since they look after the MC and make sure he’s okay (as well as one of them having a crush on Naro…).

So, I've seen a lot of comments of how confused you guys are and I am here to give you a (hopefully) understandable explanation of what is going on.

At the end of the Shibuya-Arc, Kenjaku (the brain/Fake-Geto) used Mahito's Idle transfiguration on two types of Jujutsu sorcerers to adjust their brains for sorcery: People who ingested Cursed Objects (like Yuji) got strength as vessels and people with Cursed Techniques whose brains were meant to be Non-sorcerers (like Junpei) got the ability to use Cursed Techniques. Adding to that he broke the seal on Cursed Objects, some of them already over a thousand years old (Kurusu Hana, the angel-person, is one of them if I'm not mistaken, because they are over a thousand years old). Kenjaku is now planning on making these three types of people fight each other in the culling game, to deepen their understanding of cursed energy and finally merge them with Tengen to create a new kind of jujutsu sorcerer, an evolved human.

Now on to the culling game, which is probably the most confusing part for you guys: Kenjaku (and most likely other sorcerers/curse users form the old times) created 10 colonies all over Japan. These colonies are used as a preparation to turn the people in Japan into curses to merge with Tengen (I'll address this point later).
There are 8 rules in the culling game, all dependent on each other. I'm going to list all of them in one go, because I think it's easier to make sense of them if there isn't text in between them.
1. After awakening a cursed technique, players must declare their participation in the culling game at a colony of their choice within 19 days.
2. Any swimmer who breaks the previous rule shall be subject to curse technique removal (this is just a nice way of saying to kill the swimmer)
3. Non-players who enter the colonies become players at the moment of entry and shall be considered to have declared participation in the Culling Game.
4. Players score points by ending the life of other players.
5. Points are determined by the game master and indicate the value of a player's life. In principle (as a general rule), sorcerers are worth 5 points and non-sorcerers are worth 1 point.
6. Excluding the point value of a player's own life, players may expend 100 points to negotiate with the game master to add one new rule to the culling game.
7. In accordance with the previous rule, the game master must accept any proposed new rule unless it has a marked and long-lasting effect on the culling game.
8. If a player's score remains the same for 19 days, that player shall be subject to cursed technique removal.

So in short, Itadori, Megumi, Yuta, Maki and Panda (I don't know about the others, and Nobara's status is still unknown - Whyyyyy Gege, Whyyyy??) will have to join the culling game and score 100 points so they can add a rule to the already existing rules. The reason is because they want to save Tsumiki, Megumis sister.
Another reason why they must join the culling game is to get in contact with Kurusu Hana, the only person who is capable of terminating all techniques. If Yuji & Co. manage to get them on their side, Kurusu can terminate the technique keeping Gojo inside the cube (Though we don't know who this Kurusu Hana person is and on whose side they are. We'll see in the next chapters how it'll turn out)
We are still going to see what kind of solution Megumi has so they can earn points by not killing people, but from what has happened so far in the manga, I am pretty sure that somebody has to kill or will be killed.

Now what happens if humans are merged with Tengen. First the basics: Because there isn't enough cursed energy to use Idle Transfiguration on every Japanese person to transform them into a sorcerer, Kenjaku is trying to achieve the wanted evolution by merging the humans with Kenjaku. By merging them, the humans surpass the normal definition of a sorcerer. They exist but also don't exist, which leads to a new form of existence. These evolved humans lack the boundary of an individual and if one of those evolved humans go out of control it'll be the end of the world / the Shibuya-Incident will repeat itself all over the world.
Another huge problem is the fact that Tengen is susceptible to curse spirit manipulation, which means that Kenjaku will absorb him immediately upon contact. This is the reason why Tengen wants/needs guards (Yuki and Choso in this case). Everything will be over for the sorcerers if Tengen and his barrier disappear.


I also recommend binge reading from chapter 135 onward until the current chapter. It'll help a lot

READ THIS LONG ASS OPINION/THEORY AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE. THIS IS A LIGHTLY INFORMATIVE OPINION SO IF YA GET OFFENDED JUST KNOW THAT I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE BITCHING, however I don't mind chatting with other like-minded theorist, just saying this the only warning I'm giving ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿.


First of all, the fact that Soho can FEEL sensations and was semi-conscious when he was molested by the old man has my alarms ringing. Soho has already experience rape inna bluetooth OR TELEPATHIC sort of way so that realization to him is gonna hit him hard IF and when he finds this out.

Second. HAS NOONE HEARD OF DETROIT BECOME HUMAN?!?! If a robot is sentient that means it can no longer be seen as inanimate and the word "robot" now has a different meaning all together so now it's a race and not a thing. Or it can be a non-binary race/being so the only thing that separates humans and robots in this sense is what material their made out of.

3rd. The human body is allowed to FEEL sensations thanks to the nervous system which is composed out of BILLIONS OF NERVE RECEPTORS WHICH THE BRAIN IS CAPABLE OF COMMUNICATING TO- WITH THE BILLIONS OF NEURONS IT HAS IN ORDER TO MAKE US FUNCTION THE WAY WE DO. So think really hard on how the scientist in this story were probably able to create a sentient robot that can think and FEEL exactly what we THINK AND FEEL.

[In this sense, Soho is literally no diferent than a test-tube baby except he wasn't grow from DNA he was built with an already a complete body- also mixed with SOME DNA. Which also means that just like his body is adult- his mind is that of an adult with amnesia, which to be honest still weirds me out but that's just me.]

They needed a LIVE HUMAN to create an android because they needed the brains neurons to transfer the consciousness to the androids, the same thing is what happened with KID. They used a chip because all a brain is-is a fleshy SD card but imagine the sheer amount of synthetic nerves they had to create in or to cover Soho's entired body in, and ALSO THE SKIN THEY HAD TO CREATE that was capable of synthesizing all of that nerve data so that he can actually FEEL something (like a regular human can). To anyone who's still confused on how Soho can feel something or is wondering what Soho's is feeling physically(?) just caress your entire body with your hands including your fingers and there is your answer.

Swear this story is top tier and is not a hard concept to grasp. Humans aren't the only beings in this world that are caple of feeling something. They ARE however the most lacking in the concept of understanding that other beings can have a conscious and can feel what they are also feeling. What's even more crazy is that they can do even more then what's theorized but can't because they are complacent with just living to their max amount of comfort and basic level of understanding.

usually I'm pretty good with dropping something I don't want to read, but I was too curious to know what the backstory was here so I read all the available 24 chapters..... I actually cried at some point reading it, because I feel so so so bad for MC (Jichan). He didn't do anything to deserve being treated this way, and there is absolutely no justification in what ML (Mido, who goes by Eugene now) is doing. He's a despicable and a self-pitying, grudge-holding asshole who's taking revenge on mc for the wrong-doing of others and his own misfortunes.

sorry for the long summary:

basically, they're from the same orphanage. Apparently Mi-do's parents wanted an Alpha child?! and because it was most likely that he was gonna be an Omega he was abused and then abandoned. He was 14 y/o at the time and Ji-chan was 17 y/o when they met, and neither of them had manifested at the time.. but due to his pretty and fragile appearance and the likelihood of him becoming an Omega, Mido was bullied by a bunch of kids at the orphanage. Jichan is the one who always protected him and they got very close. In Mido's eyes, Jichan was always a shining and dazzling person so he basically both admired and loved him is what I understood. Not long after, Jichan manifests as an Alpha. The church/orphanage pastor then tells Mido that the two of them need to stay away from each other because of the whole alpha/omega situation. They meet again at their usual spot.. Mido is sad because he wants to stay close to Jichan. So Jichan tells him that there are plenty of Alpha and Omegas out there that are family, so they'll just have to become family and that way they can be together forever. They make a promise to become each other's family.
next scene, they find out the pastor actually put Mido up for adoption. Jichan is arguing with him and telling him he won't allow Mido to be sold off to some creep. He's like, I've seen how he looks at the kids so no way I'll let Mido be adopted into a family like that etc etc. Mido is also horrified and doesn't want to be separated from him. Jichan tells him that he will protect him. He tells Mido to runaway that night and wait for him at the station, and that after he steals money for them to survive, he'll meet him there. Mido runs away, he waits but Ji-chan never showed up. He fell asleep and woke up to a bunch of creeps around him. They said "you ran away from home right?" "you dont have a family" and he was like, no I'm waiting for my hyung (older brother). And the creeps said to him, "we've seen you here since the morning. No one's coming for you. YOU WERE ABANDONED." and they basically kidnapped him and he was most likely sexually assaulted (they didn't show any of that, thankfully, but idk for how long or what else he's been through).

That's it. That's the whole reason he's hateful towards Jichan and wants revenge because he never showed up and he believes that he was abandoned by him. He wants to put Jichan through exactly what he suffered as an Omega... by using a drug to turn him into an Omega and violating him over and over again. (I believe he himself took a drug and is now a Beta). One thing that's not clear to me yet is why Jichan doesn't recognize that Eugene is Mido - granted he goes by a different name and looks quite difference I suppose. For starters, he looks nothing like an Omega now and i think Jichan thinks he's an Alpha.

anyways, while he's locked up in Eugene's house.. we see a new character named "Hyun" who also grew up in the same orphanage, but long after Jichan had already left. Ji-chan asks if he's Mido.. and a whole argument starts here... Eugene then basically violates Jichan in front of Hyun and even asks him if he'd want to fuck him too. It's really a disgusting scene, but Hyun walks away. We later learn that he knows about Eugene's revenge plan and is sort of helping him. Hyun also participated in the drug tests and went from being an Omega to now a Beta. There's also the scientist guy that we don't know much about, who created these drugs. he also knows Eugene's secret and his plan for revenge, and they're using Ji-chan as a test subject.

in the midst of everything Eugene is putting him through.. Ji-chan keeps asking about Mido. "what is your relationship? what do you know about Mido? where is he" things like that. he asks over and over again and tells Eugene that he wants to see Mido. And Eugene keeps getting angry being like, "what's the point now after you abandoned him?" "what if he doesn't want to see you?" "Omega's are treated like Alphas' property. they can do whatever they want to them. Maybe the same thing happened to Mido" etc etc.

He then takes Ji-chan to the lab for a final test.. violates him again in the name of "testing". Ji-chan says that he's aware that he can't runaway anymore, but he's willing to do anything and be obedient as long as he get so to see Mido.. Eugene then tells him, "if you can make me fall in love with you, the person who hates you, then maybe I'll let you meet Mido if I feel like it". Ji-chan basically then says if it means getting to see Mido, he'll try anything.
The scientist guy then tells Eugene how absurd his condition is.. to try to make someone who hates you fall in love with you, there's no common sense in that. To which Eugene replies that he wants to see Ji-chan's fruitless desperation and struggle. to make him suffer endlessly knowing I'll never fall for him, because I hate him. That's how it should be.
He then tells Ji-Chan that there is no more testing, and if he can't accept the condition, he's free to go if he wants to and calls him a taxi. Ji-chan is in a very bad condition, it's raining, and he passes out in an ally somewhere, but thankfully Hyun finds him and takes him home. Hyun calls and Eugene and yells at him for leaving him in such a poor state and that he could have died.. etc etc. Ji-chan wakes up and they end up talking.. one thing leads to another and Ji-chan tells Hyun about what happened in the past and why he's still looking for Mido.

Long story short, we find out that Ji-chan had overheard the bully kids talk about how Mido was about to be "sold off" to some family.. but when he was stealing the money and got caught by the pastor, the pastor told him that the adoptive father is also an Omega and he just wanted a child so his wife wouldn't be lonely since they can't have kids of their own. Ji-chan realizes that maybe he misunderstood and assumed this guy was a pedophile... but there's not time to think he has to go to the station where Mido is waiting. Mido didn't want to be adopted or separated from him either so it's okay. On his way he tries to steal a wallet from a bunch of thugs, gets beaten and ends up in the hospital. He runs to the station the next morning but Mido is nowhere to be found....he kept searching for Mido, and ended up getting lured in by some gangster boss who told him he'd help him find the person he's looking for.

Hyun looks at him with shock.. after realizing he's been searching for Mido since he was 17 y/o until now, for 10 years. Ji-chan is crying because he feels guilty for not being able to keep his promise, and he doesn't know what kind of life Mido's been living. He just wanted them to be together but he couldn't protect him. Hyun apologizes to him and tries to comfort him. Ji-chan tells Hyun about Eugene's "make me fall in love with you" condition.. it's obvious that Hyun's catching feelings for ji-chan, so he offers to help him. He gives him Eugene's phone number, they have a short call where Ji-chan tells Eugene that he'll wait for him at home. He'll wait until he comes. Eugene goes home but Ji-chan is asleep.. then he has a whole ass internal monologue about how the only thing he wants is for Ji-chan to suffer etc etc. but after just that one call, he doesn't know anymore blah blah and the chapter ends with him kissing Ji-chan in his sleep.

Once again, none of this needed to happen had he just fcking asked Ji-chan why he didn't show up that night! having been an Omega himself.. why commit such cruel actions against the only person who showed you kindness and warmth? HE HIMSELF WAS A MINOR AT THE TIME AND DID HIS BEST TO PROTECT YOU! Ji-chan has been asking about Mido over and over again, hasn't it occurred to you that maybe he never abandoned you?? why not have a conversation and tell him the truth?
There has to be some miracle to turn his character around and make me like him, because as of right now, he's despicable.
