Nakyum is the dumbass, not seungho. If you can't see why he did what he did, you're better off dropping the story because you ain't understanding the story at all

Not you blaming the victim. What’s the point of this comment? Are you trying to justify why Seungho abused and raped Nakyum? People should be able to express their disgust over a rapist and still see how the story turns out

I just mentioned I don't understand why Seungho is a dumbass here and not nakyum who literally admitted he ran away for whatever reason.
how there wasn't a single reason why seungho shouldn't have arrived to the conclusion that nakyum ran away??? Tge evidence was overwhelming....including his past behaviour and his sister showing up,the footprints, his coat, his own confession which he thought scared him away.
I don't understand why people pretend he should have seen it sooner. I think logically he calmed down way too soon??@?@? It doesn't make sense.
If you're just reading to hate on the story and the chatacter, it's better to stop reading it.

I’m definitely not reading just to hate on a specific character. However I also can’t ignore a character’s actions just because I’m reading the story. I think it’s important to recognize the issues that are happening between a relationship instead of letting them off easily because then they start being normalized. And I know we like to use the argument “it’s just a story, they’re not real” to shut people up when they have opinions against toxic behavior. We can criticize a character and their actions and still like the story, instead of using the whole “well if you don’t like it then don’t read it.”
I agree that it wouldn’t have been obvious for Seungho to recognize that Nakyum was kidnapped since he admitted to running away. We can’t blame him for saying he ran away since he is a victim who is afraid of what might happen to him and clearly has trauma from his experience. There’s also no justification for raping Nakyum after just because he thought he ran away because there are no excuses for rape at all. Sadly rape is a really common theme in BL and I used to brush over it when I was younger and since I continue to read the least I can do is recognize that it’s wrong instead of just easily forgiving a rapist.

No one is asking you to FORGIVE him (what an absurd thought!) Forgiving a fictional character for a fictional crime??? Who does that??? I agree that you can hate on a chatacter or a story and still enjoy it (??? Idk how that works or why someone would do that to themselves unless they enjoy being a hypocrite like a ton of other people in these comments)
I also agree that you can criticize a character and still read a story, but I simply had an issue when you were referring to him being clueless about not figuring out it was a kidnapping??? Like because it was so obvious that it wasn't??? The evidence was overwhelming not to mention he got admittance.
If you say "not calling out a fictional rapist" in every chapter is the same as advocating for a real rapist...than idk what to say to you except that you think people who liked stories that have rape in a subplot actually would advocate that irl??? The "it's just fiction" argument is lost on PC trolls because they want to bring moralistic stances where they aren't needed. This story has never been a romance genre bs. It IS about fucked up people making fucked up choices.
I don't anyone who loves seungho would JUSTIFY when he rapes nakyum...like nobody sane would do that. But if you like seungho, that doesn't mean you ADVOCATE rape irl. That's insane thinking. People know how to differentiate between fiction and reality ffs (at least people who aren't kids...)
BL is filled with fucked up plots but that's why they make for more interesting stories and characters than the clichéd romance genre. You can't have your cake and est it too. Either you accept it for what it is, or you don't consume it at all if morality matter more than entertainment.

I'm not sure what you're referring to since I never called Seungho clueless or judged him for not knowing immediately that Nakyum was kidnapped, and I even agreed with you on that. I mentioned that regardless of what Seungho thought or knew, there is no justification for raping Nakyum because there is never an excuse for rape. I did call you out for saying Nakyum was a dumbass and not Seungho when Nakyum is very much the victim in this situation. It was also clear in the story that Nakyum was afraid of admitting he was kidnapped, so why call him names for not being able to come forward? Please re-read my comments because the way you are interpreting them is completely twisting my words to a ridiculous extent. I also NEVER said that if you like Seungho, that means you advocate for rapists in real life (how did you even come to this conclusion?? sheesh). I literally went back to read my comment because I wouldn't say something so stupid like that. I meant that we should allow people who DO want to criticize their actions without shutting them down and telling them to stop reading the story.
When I was talking about forgiveness, I meant that some (of course not all) people in the comments were already siding with Seungho once he realized his mistake, which is okay as long as they don't justify him raping Nakyum, and you're saying they don't, so that's cool.
Also, you don't have to accept anything for what it is, as I mentioned before, you can criticize certain aspects of something but still enjoy it overall. It does not have to be this binary where you fully have to accept things for what they are or don't even bother consuming them. I also agree that sometimes these themes can add more plot to the story. One of my favorite BL has rape in it as well, that doesn't mean I can't voice my opinion against the characters actions or recognize that it's wrong. If you choose to not criticize a character who is a rapist, that doesn't mean you advocate for rapists in real life (again what a ridiculous statement, how did you come up with that?), but also don't try to justify their actions (I'm not saying you are, just overall). This is NOT against you or anyone in particular, it's just my overall opinion.

Uhm I do know he somehow knew what happened to Nakyum and that's the worst part. Why would he stll treat him that way! He was expecting Nakyum to speak out? Like you said he's not dumb, Nakyum is a very fragile boi that can be easily scares and be threaten -- For sure he knew that! so why would he expects Nakyum to speak out? Seeing how the boy was traumatized-- he didn't even think that the boi was being threatened?!, Seungho is selfish manipulative sad boi(for now, if there will be a character development). And why would I dropped this? I didn't say I hate the story tho--rather I was captivated by it so I'm not gonna drop this tf
