this comment section is proof that bl gives you brainrot bc men and women can't even defy gender expectations w/o y'all saying they're the same as a gay couple

I think I can kind of understand...I read it all in one go just now and my first thought was "wow...this is exactly a cookie cutter template of a BL doujin".
It's not really that it gives the same vibe as a gay couple or anything, it was just kind of shocking how much the story is so similar to a specific flavour of BL manga.

not y'all praising carcel for taking contraceptives as if that isn't the bare minimum y'all be like "omg fictional men have raised my standards!!!" like girl, pls have higher standards and stop giving praise for basic shit

I mean, you have to consider the context too. He literally admitted that he’s aware he’s being used by his wife for whatever reason. He’s also aware the contraceptives he’s using could potentially hurt him and at most kill him (these aren’t modern contraceptives). Yet, he’s still caring about his wife who’s using him more than she cares about herself and going so far as to take contraceptives because he knows she likes having sex so much and he can’t bring himself to reject her (at least according to his pov).
I think that’s why some people are praising him. I don’t think it’s the bare minimum when you think about the context of the story.

why are you so bitter and contraception is not a bare minimum topic anyway. Both for men and women because it's difficult on both sides since it messes up your hormonal system and might lead to further complications if it's not safe. And Cárcel is choosing to take it for Ines' health. That's a sign of a good man who is willing to go the extra mile for his wife. What's the issue with people praising that bro stop hating

yeah so he knows how difficult pregnancy is, which is why he's taking the contraceptive. and that's not just the context here. Cárcel is taking contraceptives in a world that looks down on people for doing it, because children are the most important. He's going against the status quo because he loves his wife sm and is willing to risk his health and potentially be impotent for his wife's health

I would agree with you if Ines was being forced or obligated to get pregnant. But it’s being shown to us that Ines is not being forced to do anything. She wants a child as soon as possible for her divorce plan to work so she’s adamantly trying to conceive one for her OWN sake.
So while I get the sentiment, it’s irrelevant to carcel and Ines’ situation in particular because ines is not being forced to do anything she doesn’t like.
this is just the meek, shy, fragile pale skinned femc and the hyper aggressive, sex obsessed dark skinned/tan ml cliche. Ew gross.
She’s meek and shy for a reason, as they grow closer together she becomes more bold and he is softened by her…give it a chance I think it’s rlly good
the walking doormat femc who's character development is growing a backbone and the ml's character development is not being emotionally closed off. Feeling daring today are we?
