imo a slow burn is for ex. a story has around 100 chapters and the leads don't get together for at least half the story or after. a lot of these "slow burns" are speed runs they be getting together within 10 chapters with little to no build up whatsoever i can tolerate it if they're already friends but if they're enemies and/or strangers absolutely......
