Very true. And people be acting like this is the first yaoi with r*pe scenes. There's worse and I think the reason is because this is the first time it happens in the story. It sucks but it wasn't intentional because Matthew was under the influence. It's a story that is dark because it has mafias, people! It's not a bad story! But let's just hope that is the only time that happens.
I think the author learned because Champagne and Roses for ALOT of hate for it because the what the seme did was absolutely horrible and disgusting, I even was queezy because it went TOO far! This is nothing compared to that story and it was their first time because it's like your almost average yaoi scene.
Even for beautiful art ones like Night Song and PotN... Forced is never cool but it happens. The author seems to like consent all the way up until the middle of the story to add something like a non consentual scene. And at least for this story Matthew feels SO bad afterwards. He feels like he doesn't deserve Jin's forgiveness, he's not a horrible person... He's just broken and was under the influence.
